Hey, I’m not her, I’m sorry. I just wanted to say I’ve experienced the same thing with other routines and truly, the best thing to do is to stop the routine. My hair gets easily strained too! It likes being left alone for a long time. Your hair will let you know what it likes! Think of your hair like a house: the foundation must be good for building. With hair, I think the best foundation is 1) braiding hair at night and before outdoor activity 2) massaging your head before washing and before bed and 3) brushing/combing/washing/wrapping hair very delicately. Those three things worked the best for me and I recommend them first! Then later you will find an oiling method that your body likes the most :) I hope this helps.
