Reading A Lady for a Duke right now. I’m about 60% through and feeling the same. There are parts that are SO good, but then a lot of parts I just don’t care about. And I find them rehashing the same conversation/thoughts over and over.

Librarian here! Your local library probably owns/has access to fewer copies than the bigger city library, just like with physical books, so that’s why it takes so much longer to get things in when you put them on hold there. It’s super considerate of you to send them back early! 🙂

I would just like to say I loved the cooking b-roll and hearing you and Haden talk about food. I've been trying to get in to cooking more but since I too mostly only eat chicken and know how to cook it I would like to hear more about the recipes and where you guys go to find them. Also Hayden should definitely making a cooking channel or do youtube/tik tok/instagram shorts or something.

Tbh I got 90% into Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur and dnfd because I realised I didn't remotely care about the relationship and the third act conflict was rubbish so that fits with what you felt for this one. Big meh vibes for the actual relationship, but the steamy scenes were pretty good.

I feel the exact same way about A Brush With Love! I liked both of their side stories and the dental school setting but the romance itself was not it. I didn’t feel any chemistry at all, and as you said it was extremely instalove-y. And Dan’s refusal to accept Harper saying multiple times that she doesn’t want to date anyone right now made me super uncomfy 😬
