Hi- I’ve never heard that about comforters. We have a blanket between our sheet and comforter. Most of the time I just use the sheet and blanket over me. If it’s cold enough I use the comforter also. I’m glad you’re enjoying summer with your kids. It’s always nice to slow things down, even a little bit. Have a great day! ❤😊🐦
