+K Molina I've been told that my videos are relaxing... I'm tickled that you watch them while rocking your babies to sleep! 😊 I watched a lot of KZbin, and read a lot of books, while nursing Liam. Enjoy your little ones!

You're easily my favorite planner channel 💙 I love your format for a plan with me. Maybe you can also bookdart the weekly page down so it stays in place? Thanks & take care, Carie! Hugs! 💙

These thorough discussions are so valuable for me. I recently started using diyfish and I don't know if I'm doing it right but I do love them, especially for the work I do. Thanks for sharing your break outs of how you manage it all!

+CoffeeBookChick What a wonderful comment! Thank you! The biggest thing for me when I started using DIYFish was that I had to embrace the idea that there was no wrong way to use them (that's tough for me... I always want to do things The Right Way). Once I let that go and really started playing with the inserts, tons of ideas opened up. That's one of the best things about Fish's inserts... the possibilities are limitless!

I love your planning video's so much and I admire you so much for raising 8 boys and look as good as you do. I have always struggled using a weekly spread. I don't not know how to use it or how to set it up.
@CarieHarling6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! I used to truly struggle with weekly layouts, so I used really minimal ones that only took up one page and only kept the schedule on there. As our schedules and my planning style/needs have evolved over the years, I’ve come to absolutely love the weekly. Searching Pinterest for Weekly Layouts and Bullet Journal Layouts was a massive help for me!

Hi Carie thank you for the great videos! I'm wondering if you could do a video about how to make the booklets for the TN using DIYFISH inserts? I'm on the fence about going from rings to TN.
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
+mnemomma I made a video a while ago showing how I assemble DIYFish inserts for a TN... it shows different inserts, but the process is exactly the same. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5utnZiwnbCbmLc Please let me know if that doesn't answer your questions, okay? 😊

Hi Carie... great info as usual :) I am considering of using diyfish but I feel lost with all the versions and the printing. What vs would you recommend for tracking lots of info with a monthly, weekly, daily view? Do you know of someone doing the printing that ships to europe?
@deborahrose49437 жыл бұрын
I'm curious about how you physically printing / putting together your monthly calendar. It looks like you may have taped two pages together so that your monthly calendar will actually pull out so you can see all of it...(I may not be explaining this well, sorry!) What is on the page right next to the monthly fold out, and what is it attached to so it goes under the strings? and what is on the back of those? Trying to get my monthly set up similarly, but looking for ideas ! Thanks!
@deborahrose49437 жыл бұрын
I answered part of my own question ... You showed it on your "Monthly Calendar Setup" which I already watched but forgot you showed the detail! So I see the horizontal calendar with the monthly chart on the back... and I see that you have attached the page that has two columns to that ... so now my question is what is on the back of the 2-column page, and what is on both sides of the page that slips under to the back.... thanks! Sorry to make this so complicated!
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
+Deborah Rose That Monthly Calendar is a DIYFish monthly Calendar and chart... this one came with the Weekly Pages in her Field Notes size v3s2 set. After you print it, you can see that there's a vertical mark near the right edge of the page marked "sew." I fold the page there, and that creates the spine for the insert. I then tape it to the back page of the insert so it stays put. If you haven't seen it yet, I posted a video last week called "Monthly Calendar Setup Process" that shows this whole thing more clearly! :)
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
+Deborah Rose No apology necessary! :) Ok, that page with the two columns prints with the monthly Calendar... it all prints landscape on one Letter size or A4 size page. The left-most part of the monthly chart is on the back of the page with the two columns. Fish shows it far better than I explain it... if you take a peek at this link and swipe so you can see the second photo, she shows it front and back: www.etsy.com/listing/236192210/trial-field-notes-v3s2-wo-daily-april-to There isn't an entire page that slips around the back, just maybe an inch or so of the right-hand edge of the calendar page.

Thanks! Now I get it! I was thinking Regular TN pages so thinking 8.5 x 11 pages.... this makes sense - thanks so much for explaining! And yes, I am actually looking at DIY Fish as we speak!
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
+Deborah Rose Yay!!! If it still isn't clear, I'd be happy to send you photos of that insert taken out of the planner so you can see the whole thing. If you want me to do so, let me know and I'll send it tomorrow on Facebook or something, ok? ;)

Hey. I am trying to set up a new planner system. I like how the DIY fish flows from monthly to weekly. However I am currently using a horizontal week set up. I haven't watched all your videos. I have 2 hr appointments with clients. I need about 5-7 lines for clients and/or my personal stuff. The clients repeat weekly, mostly. I currently use the initials. I divide the page into 4 slots vertically. The bottom 3 being smaller. The top section for appointments. The next box I use for tallying hrs, miles and hrs for my second job i also total these at the end of the week ( about 3 lines) to compare the info at the end of the week (this is crucial). The bottom 2 boxes (not as crucial) I use for Notes/next week and a menu. I also use a removable circle label which I write down possible open appointment times(and that is really helpful) I hope that you can understand what I am saying. So, do you have any suggestions for this possibly working on DIYFISH or something?
@CarieHarling6 жыл бұрын
Hmm... this is a tough one! I would honestly say that, if you're interested in DIYFish, the easiest way to go through all of her weekly offerings is to go to her Etsy site and search "Weekly." I did that, and saw what all is available for weekly setups, and I think that several of them could be somewhat close to what you're using now. :)
@CarieHarling6 жыл бұрын
Oh! I forgot to add... DIYFish also has some inserts that have a horizontal or vertical weekly foldout that you might find helpful, too.

Thanks. I am starting to narrow down what I need. Hey it totally helps to look at the different choices on a full screen computer monitor vs phone screen. We all batte for computer time at my house!

Carie may I know what those number in the square box on left side of your project?
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
+Esther Ng Sure! Sometimes I number the projects for the month to make them easier to add to lists and whatnot without writing out the whole thing.
@buzzesther7 жыл бұрын
But they are not in sequence. I am referring to your vCarie inserts. 🤔
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct... depending on where you're seeing them, they aren't in numerical order. I have them listed numerically on the back of the monthly calendar (the fold-out portion) of the vCarie inserts.

Do you still use your personal size notebooks for anything?
@CarieHarling7 жыл бұрын
I go back and forth with sizes all the time; when they arent in use, my notebooks are all stacked (open and piled one on top of the other). I do always have one personal size that has writing and whatnot in it.
