ooooh thanks for the reminder on that Brian Brown, had forgotten to put my tasers on that one. I Am The Center was a very influential comp, cool how so many of the artists have been reissued after the fact. I don't own but I've listened for sure and picked many of those artists' records. That Cacciapaglia...oh boy, a big love that one. I recently acquired it and shall be shown soon. Lovely flip James and hope you're feeling better

For sure, that comp felt like the beginnings of a resurgence of interest in that sort of music, it opened up my ears for sure. My Cacciapaglia is just a weird reissue from Russia, a reckon worth spending $ on an OG for though!

Got to say that the new logo looks great. Futuro Antico is an album I discovered a couple of years ago. Mine is the same reissue; it's a wonderful mixture of ambient, electronic and folk music. Need to pull it out and give it another listen tomorrow. The Sewage record sounds like something I need to hear. I found it on Bandcamp and added it to my want list. I remember hearing about the Roberto Cacciapaglia album a few years back but I don't think I was ready for it at the time; but that cover it cool and I will give it another listen. oh...and that's an Interesting sleeve on the Cluster 71. Very nice that you got to see Kraftwerk. I saw them before Covid and your description fit well; it was a lot of fun. Great use of technology. Thank you for sharing. Cheers, Shawn.

Great stuff, James. Was recently having an internal monologue while driving about what my favorite Cluster album is. The one you showed is in the running. Futuro Antico, Cacciapaglia, Kraftwerk… all time favs.

It's like this video was recorded in a sauna. 🤣🤣🤣 I do appreciate International Anthem as they're one of the labels regularly pushing jazz forward. 577 Records is another one, though that one is strongly avantegarde and pretty out there. Hope all is well! Cheers, Tom

Assuming you're talking about the same stream, it was good to "meet" you the other day. Have been following your channel for a while, but I suck at commenting. Love that Futuro Antico album. Recently found Conference Of The Birds in a used bin as well so finally picked that up. I completely missed that box, might seek it out if the price is still decent. Just sampled that Sewage record and sounds up my alley for sure. International Anthem is really hit or miss with me. Some stuff doesn't seem to resonate with me. I need to check the one you showcased. Nice showing overall!

i've come to develop a deep disdain for the international anthem label without ever having listened to one of their albums but just from working at a vinyl distributors warehouse alone. all those colour variations which are basically indistinguishable from looking at the cover alone, given their wird ass catalogue numbers are the smallest thing printed on those obi strips, with all variants being released simultaneously and those colour descriptions being absolutely ridiculous - what is 'turtle shell colored vinyl' supposed to look like ? - make the labels releases an absolute nightmare to work with at the back end of the vinyl supply chain.

Wow really interesting perspective, I never thought of it from that point of view. Agree though those descriptions on the OBIs are very silly!

@bazedjunkiii_tv I can see your point from a distribution standpoint, but I don't recall International Anthem doing tons of variants within a given title. I really tapped out of buying new metal on vinyl when the metal labels started going to 8 to 10 or more variants per title. At that point, I feel a label is telling me "the music won't sell this record so we need a gimmick to make people buy multiple copies." I prefer a record to be in just one color, but if there's going to be just one other variant where the wax color fits in with the album art, I'm good with that. Cheers, Tom
