thanks for all the good words. That festival should be great, Surface Of The Earth walks that fine line of noise and experimental ambient. With one of the most beautiful sleeve designs I've ever seen, for the reissue anyway. Labradford has become an essential one for me. Have you checked out the Kranky / Chicago book yet? May be next on your list, called "I'm With Stupid" a great history of the label and the Chicago scene of the 90s. Thanks for the reminder on that Directions In Music, a very chicago project attached to Tortoise with the great Bundy K Brown and Doug Scharin. In my wantlist! Cheers James

James, nice pile of recent spins. I have had the $oviet France CD for a while, but have never seen the vinyl EP (and bag). I have the Camberwell Now "All's Well" compilation and never see any vinyl. Thanks, Chris

Kia ora! I have the Killing Capitalism With Kindness Xpressway comp on vinyl, one of my favorites. Also Making Losers Happy. The Homestead label in the US introduced me to some great New Zealand music back in the old days. Also recommend labels like Restless, Alias, Enigma, City Slang, Slumberland, Darla, Frontier. Enjoyed your video. Cheers!

I use a similar system, by having an "inbox" of new stuff, but it's been overflowing like crazy especially since I tend to listen to new stuff mixed with older stuff. I might just end up filing everything away once I get it in like you suggested (because let's face it, not buying records for x amount of time is never going to happen) That festival sounds like a great time is going to be had. AFP is neck on neck as my favorite SKM album as well together with April. I got the OG's when the first came out. the AFP OG has a few live bonus tracks as well. Been looking for that Zoviet France as well. Recently picked up a casette in a burlap sleeve as well. Overall showing some great stuff!

hearing your description of the dead c i feel you should try to pull up the 'score' album by a band named village of savoonga. could work well in preparation for that festival thing ahead.
