I teach first grade and our whole school (k-8) always sees a decline in behavior the last month of school. Everyone is ready for summer, especially the teachers :)

Such nice gifts of appreciation from your students/parents. I like that your school has a theme for the week, and the door decor was a nice touch. I am a middle school teacher and we finished state testing this past week. I agree, students get antsy as we get closer to the end of the school year. But I can also recall being that student who, after finals, was eager for summer break too. It is important to have strong classroom management and have something for them to do each day to keep them from going off the rails. Two recess breaks is a nice way for them to release some of that energy.
