Weekly Update: Busy Week at the Lovely Car Company - Cars In, Cars Out, and lots of finance leads
It’s been a hectic week at the Lovely Car Company with non-stop action! We've had cars being prepped, valeted, and polished by Wayne and Lee, ready to hit the the forecourt or be handed over to happy customers. From a sleek BMW 330i with all the bells and whistles, , to a Mercedes A-Class and Tesla's getting final touches like tire pressure sensors and a full valet, our focus is always on delivering quality vehicles.
Finance inquiries have been pouring in, and our trusted finance partner, Theo, has been instrumental in securing deals for customers, even under challenging circumstances. Instagram has been buzzing with inquiries, keeping us on our toes!
On top of that, the workshop has been flat out resolving warranty jobs and prepping new arrivals. Big shoutout to Lee, our ace mechanic, for handling everything from wheel alignments to turbo repairs.
We’re also learning and evolving - podcasts with fellow traders have provided invaluable advice, helping us improve our processes and pricing strategies.
With multiple handovers scheduled this weekend, we’re keeping the momentum going strong.

Totally get it with finance. I was in a bad position a few years back due to illness leading to disability. Thankfully I now have a good income coming in again but anytime I look at getting credit the rates are still through the roof despite now being debt free. Hey it is what it is. 😊

Dave and the staff and the business must always come first if there's any spare time outside of that then yes you can do other things But there comes a time when it can be a negative so it's good to stand back and take stock so pleased you are all doing well with the sales and the unit and as you said be a guest with Joe when you can

Hi Dave I absolutely loved you, Joe & James doing the podcasts never missed a single video. Like you say selling cars keeps bread on the table & what pays the bills & staff , not sure how you managed with having shared responsibility for your Children that will mean the world to you and having to travel back & forwards all the time , you now have a repairs garage to also develop with the help of Lee your mechanic which seems like a asset to the business, Joe will be gutted but will 100% understand he’s a top fella, was good to get a little tour round the repairs garage and get to meet Lee , let’s get a update in 6 months time on how things are settling with garage. We hope to see you back on shifting metal podcast from time to time , you will be missed I can tell you, you were a great team. I sold a Mini a few years back, lovely car all prepped, new wheel bearing and full AF MOT. Then the guy goes to Mini dealer for a “free check”. Stupid quote which included £300 for a headlight bulb. Bulb had gone after a week which is just random normal stuff, out of goodwill we fixed it - £19 for a bulb. Do not do these free health checks or Halfrauds - it’s a racket!

You guys are a fantastic trio if I was ever in the business I would have to head hunt sir Ali and the pop and shine king. Don’t mention halfrauds they ripped me off for £450 major service on a X5. A week later I had it in a garage for some work and the garage told me there was no way halfrauds had done a proper full service they didn’t even grease the doors my coolant and washer water was low I managed to get half my money back and a full valet as they left dirty finger print over door card and drivers seat

Some people do like cars with chrome 😊. I absolutely hate blacked out cars as does my mate. If I was looking at a dealer online and it was all pretty much dechromed cars then I wouldn't even get to bothering going in to looking deep at the stock. Just a thought, don't forget us folks!

For us to sell cars from a small site we need to have something a bit different to offer the public, if you go onto Autotrader there are literally hundreds of white Tesla’s, we need to stand out from the rest, if I could sell them quick with no kits I would but people come from all over to buy them with the kits, we’re even looking into doing our modifications because people will soon cotton onto this
