LOL kettle corn. that was so random it made me laugh pretty hard. It's good to hear that you seem to be doing better for the most part. I'm a paranoid schizophrenic but the meds I take have pretty much cut out hallucinations and voices completely. I do still suffer from paranoid thoughts though. I have been having strange dreams as well. sometimes I dream that death, the skeleton looking dude, is choking me and there are flames all around and it's really hot, and I will wake up and freak out being halfway out of breath. Other times I just think that aliens are monitoring me and feeding off my negative emotions. Sometimes I think my house is bugged and the police are listening to me to see if I am communicating with Satan. Other times I think Satan is going to send someone to kill me for disobeying him from when I first got schizophrenia. Well good luck hopefully they find the right meds and dosage for you. Medication is really what helped me the most. That and family support.

Hey it's me again!? Yeah I kind of figured you were more schizoaffective that's what I'm thinking I am as well! According to my research that just means that it's schizophrenia with also mood disorders and that kind of thing, but less severe, but the affective part has more to do with facial expressions especially when somebody is like yelling at you or getting you stressed out but you have this robot type look on your face and it doesn't look like you're being effected by the emotions. I also wanted to touch on the cold medicines, I take a lot of them even when I'm not sick to keep my sinuses draining because of my ear infections especially in between rounds of antibiotics to help control the reoccuring ear and dental infections, because the acetaminophen helpswith pain swelling and thins the blood and the decongestant helps keep the sinuses draining but easy to overdose on that which can cause a lot of the symptoms as well! I should add though to I don't have near the visual or auditory hallucinations that you talked about I have similar stuff but most of my stuff is intrusive thoughts and a lot of dwelling and I contribute a lot of lack of the positive effects to the antibiotics that I have to take every year or so because of the infections!

Hey I am glad you are doing okay. Honestly I can see how you could be schizoaffective due to you being able to tell when a lot of your hallucinations are not real. I didn’t know schizoaffective was milder than full blown schizophrenia. Thought it was the other way around. Hope the new medications work for you bud. :)

Isn’t schizoaffective just when you have schizophrenia and a mood disorder comorbidly? I’m not a psychiatrist, but doesn’t having both just mean you’re automatically schizoaffective
@amateuraries5 жыл бұрын
She explained it as, since I can sometimes tell my hallucinations are not real, makes me not schizophrenic but since I have symptoms of schizophrenia: hallucinations, delusions, etc. that I’m schizoeffective with mixed bipolar or borderline or both

Hmm so they've got you as schizoaffective now huh? That's what my diagnosis was too, it's probably because I can tell when I'm hallucinating sometimes, that and it's a more accurate diagnosis since I have bi polar as well. Anyway I'm glad to see that your hanging in there, don't let the antipsychotics knock you on your ass too hard lol

Trying not too. New meds come with new symptoms and mine currently is exhaustion again lol. Yay antipsychotics
