What caring parents. You have made sure that Bowie’s emotional needs are met in every way. What a securely attached little boy he is. A gift for his future happiness!

I always say that if I could freeze a moment in time it would be when my then 2 1/2 yo son first met his newborn brother. His little face lit up with surprise, wonder and fascination and his grin was from ear to ear. I'll never forget that look. He was just like Bowie in that he just wanted to be close to his baby brother all the time and help Mum. Feeding time was story time in our house too which was really special. I'm not crying honest, just feeling very sentimental ♥️♥️

Is that standard in Oz for longish stay after birth? In UK if no complications you’d be packed home as soon as possible possibly too soon!? Very interesting to see, glad you’re all well. X
@Lulu-oi9ue2 жыл бұрын
I stayed 3 nights because there was a public holiday and my first child in a public hospital. This looks like a private hospital so I think it’s how long you want.
@ElsasWholesomeLife2 жыл бұрын
If you have private health insurance it’s standard. We were in a private hospital and it covers you for a 4 night stay after birth, optional if you want to leave early but we decided to stay 3 nights, personally I prefer the longish stay, lots of support in those first few days of healing 🫶🏼

Why do they keep you so long in the hospital after birth in Australia?
@ElsasWholesomeLife2 жыл бұрын
They don’t! In the public system it’s quicker if you have an uncomplicated birth. This was through the private health system 🫶🏼
@SychJess2 жыл бұрын
@@ElsasWholesomeLife Did you request to stay 72hrs?
@brilliantbutblue4 ай бұрын
@SychJess : You don't need to request any length of stay. It's up to you and your Dr. I have done both un medicated uncomplicated NVD and it was a 4 day standard stay with my c-section it was 7 days standard stay. Both in Private hospitals Melbourne Australia.
