From a past Floridian, if you think you have enough water, you’re wrong get more. I would also stash away a couple extra rolls of toilet paper, a paper towel roll, hand sanitizer and canned food. Also make sure you have a manual can opener, some extra flashlights and batteries. You’ll definitely have time to prepare if you do get a hurricane but things sell out so fast. So good on you for getting a head of the game.😊

Hooray - what a relief about the private school. Love the downstairs loo. Absolutely with you on the hurricane prepared box, not silly - practical. Over here in California it is earthquake preparedness, and sadly these days, also for wild fires. We had one come close 2 years ago. I now have a list stuck up inside my closet of what to pack, and another list downstairs of what essentials to grab in case of evacuation. I hate bugs… not sure if it is common in Florida but here we pay for a bug service to spray the house foundations to keep ants out. They come every 3 months and since doing it haven’t had an ant inside. Ants can be a big problem our way

Don’t stress too much about the hurricane supplies. Orlando is so inland that it really loses power by the time it gets here. Extra water and canned food is great to have (don’t forget an extra can opener!) as are the chargers. That’s about all we do. We mostly just prepare for loss of power than anything else. Having a fire proof and waterproof box for documents is also handy.

"I've waffled on this week" I actually enjoy when you waffle on lol. So soothing and nice to listen to you. Glad the school situation is sorted and things are working out. Are you planning trips around the US at some point? I think it would be a great addition to your channel later when you're settled. Maybe start with visiting other areas of Florida then other states etc. We moved to Chicago 8 years ago and still feel like we haven't even scratched the surface of places to visit and things to do, we're currently trying to drive around the Midwest to explore lots of the small towns and we're planning a road trip around Lake Michigan driving up Michigan all the way to Mackinac Island and then back through the other side through Wisconsin and we will spread it across a week and make multiple stops. We were actually in Orlando a few weeks ago, stayed for a week in the Kissimmee area before going on a Disney cruise from Port Canaveral, we had a great time. Our favorite in Orlando was the day we spent at Discovery Cove.

I do like a waffle haha!! Yes we have plans to do some exploring, I have a list as long as my arm. We have visited quite a few states in the US over the years but before I started vlogging. We plan to explore Florida first for the next year and enjoy what's on our doorstep but I think we will wait for the weather to cool down just a little. Discovery cove is lovely, ive been a few years ago and would love to do it again, so peaceful and not full of crowds. Thank you so much for watching xx

Enjoyed your vlog. Just another suggestion for your Hurricane box: Amazon sells collapsible 1, 5 and 10 gallon water jugs/holders. They are plastic and just flatten out. If you know a hurricane is coming you can fill up the collapsible jugs with water for cleaning and flushing toilets, if you happen to lose water, etc. I have three or four of them that I keep in my garage.

Hello another enjoyable vlog. The bathroom looks great. I think the bold colors make a nice contrast to the white walls. The neighbor's fence seem like a nice compromise of gaining some privacy while keeping the lovely views. PS I forgot to say sorry about England losing in the finals but it was nice that both the men and women reached the finals.

Secondly phew do pleased school stuff now resolved all round and yeah course like you go to bed with lots of whirring around then not sleep and make tea ! Love the loo decor and have to say think you will have nicer ideas for your home , the showhome was great to see around - just love a nice ole sticky beak as they say. Think as you put lovely handles on kitchen would a tap to match look good maybe ? We did smile at each other here as when we used to holiday there we were gonna buy and loved looking at the showhomes . Don’t forget to add a first aid kit, (including bandages, pain killers etc) rubber gloves and sturdier gloves, loo roll, salt tablets to your hurricane kit, one of those miracle knives/screw thingy/ bottle opener (sorry having a menopausal forgetful moment on the name…. Jeeeze who would be a woman!) pac a Mac’s, silver emergency blankets, cups, milk powder….. I know it seems crazy but I am a what if this person who worked in emergency services so I. Would rather be over prepared than under prepared It will be reet! 😊
