Hello Laurie, please continue to update us on your previous job. Thank you for taking some real time off between jobs. That was very smart of you to check out the landscape of your future job. I have a Kuvings juicer and I love it. I put a bag in the pulp side to collect and I put it in my plants, you can also freeze the pulp and used in foods. I’m noticing how a lot of nursing jobs want more time for resignations now. Enjoy yourself and your family.

You remind me of my friend Asha ( my NP sista friend) She’s from Trinidad tho and a DNP. She is hilarious especially when her accent comes out. We got super close during NP school and because I’m from Louisiana so it’s hilarious because she doesn’t hear her accent and I don’t hear mine. 😆☺️

Your UC experience will be great for clinical office setting. I have been an NP for 20 years; I worked many years in the nursing home setting, and prior to that I worked doing medical house calls. I never worked UC or those Minute Clinics, they seemed like modern day slavery to me! I also teach every once in a while. I currently work mainly telepsych (I opted for a Ph.D in psychology when most of my colleagues went for the DNP). I get the best of both worlds because I currently work part time in the clinical office setting, and I work with a great MD who is very supportive. Sometimes the ancillary staff can be troublesome (they can either make your day or totally turn it upside down). I find the office setting rewarding because I actually get to follow my patients. When you can work with a patient to get that A1c out of double digits down to below 7, it's a great feeling. Best of luck on your new venture!

Lol! I know you are not being a jerk! I am Jamaican and I only speak English, however we have a dialect in Jamaica called patois and sometimes I truly revert back to my native tongue. I definitely plan to do a DNP program. I start my nursing program January 2024 and I plan to keep going until I have my doctorate in so type of gerontology care so I can join a palliative, hospice, or oncology team. I am a nursing assistant on an oncology floor right now and an ER Tech trying to get as much experience I can for my end goal career. I have watched a lot of your journey and I appreciate all the detail and I love learning about your everyday life too! I am curious of a few things though. How much do you make at your new job an hour? And how much did you make when you started? And do you make an hourly wage or a salary? And also, I forgot, how long exactly have you been an NP? And we’re you able to find grants for the graduate part of your degrees? Like getting your masters.

I’m in the same boat with nursing. Interviewed for a job I didn’t really want and asked for more money than I’ve ever made as staff and they gave me what I wanted😩 Now I feel stuck because the money is goodt! I’m tired of bedside tho🙄

I love your channel! Such good content, God bless you in Jesus name. ❤ I love the new Nama juicer it’s so perfect and can fit so much fruit, plus it’s cold pressed and lasts longer in the fridge when stored than regular juicers. Primal is a good brand too, Follow Your Heart is another good brand that is cheaper, its vegan Mayo but it tastes soo good, even if you don’t like Mayo. They have a soy-free option, and Mayo made with Avocado Oil, and Grape-seed oil.
