Good to see you back! So sorry you were affected by Helene, that’s rough for sure. We live in Asheville right near where it hit the worst and it’s still looking not great here (our apartment is fine though). Luckily we were able to get out for a bit right after the storm but it was definitely a hard time for a while so I totally get it and why you had to take a break!! I took most of October off of my channel because of that ❤️ I still read a lot during that time though, I guess that’s my coping mechanism, haha. The Sword of Kaigen is on my TBR, hope you like it! And I hope y’all can get your moving plans worked out and that things get better moving forward!

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that! I love Asheville…such a terrible thing. Glad you and yours made it through ok. It was very scary. Really enjoying Sword of Kaigen so far!!!

I'm sorry to hear you were affected by the hurricane. I hope you're doing much better now. I mainly watch Booktubers for their bookish content but I don't really mind watching a vlog-style video every now and then. Also, that prologue has got me interested in checking out that book too 😂 I have some of his other books in my TBR list that I'm looking forward to reading as well 😊

Thanks! Yes we have mostly cut and moved all the downed trees. The book was good....like I mentioned he is good at dropping breadcrumbs. I would check him out! What have you been reading lately? I know the hot book right now is Brandon Sanderson's new book....

@reading_by_myshelf I'm currently reading All Sinners Bleed by S.A. Cosby. My next read is probably going to be Replay by Ken Grimwood. I've not read any Sanderson. Where do you recommend starting?

@@amir703 I started with his Mistborn trilogy, and I think that is a good place to start. You get the same great characters and plot in relatively smaller books. Then I read Elantris, which was one of his earlier novels and was good but could absolutely tell that it was earlier in his writing career. I have read the first 3 books in the Stormlight archive. Great books but a time commitment! He is a great author, although there are authors I like more (Christopher Ruocchio 😉)
