Your garden is absolutely gorgeous! I agree that our neighbors get to enjoy our garden as much as we do. My neighbor right across the street from us said she felt like she should come work in my garden since she gets so much enjoyment out of it for "free". So, she bought me a few plants one year. I thought that was so cool!

I also succumbed to the siren song of the ice blue bog rosemary at Lowes earlier this year and bought three of them as well (including one that I got on clearance). Sadly, two of them died back completely, even though they were in full shade and I watered them almost every day. One was in a bit more sun, so I moved that into a shadier spot and that one somehow still has a few blue branches on it, so I'm going to see if I can limp it through the winter. I think I was really pushing it trying to grow it down here in Maryland, 7A, but they were just so gorgeous while it was in bloom that I couldn't resist. What I don't understand, though, is how the Lowes employees were able to keep them looking so good in full sun. Maybe I should have tried to plant them in a container instead of the ground.

magnificent garden! Have you considered the possibility of planting a bush instead of a not very happy weigela, a variety of which is not present in your garden? I mean Philadélphus, there are varieties with a strong aroma, there are varieties with double flowers. It is unpretentious, you can choose a suitable variety in height and have either a bush or almost a tree in the garden

Soleil; Any way I could convince you to post your thumbnail photo somewhere, in a form where I could save it to my phone? That is sheer beauty I'd love to paint, watercolor, stitch, or just feast upon, digitally. You could exhibit a collection of your photos of your garden -- Be it digital, in a digital "book" or "magazine" (called SOLEIL), Or a printed book (rather costly upfront), a collection of enlarged photographic prints, or a gallery exhibit. Incidentally: Do the deer just roam the streets of your suburban neighborhood, grazing in your front gardens?? Do they limit themselves to the sidewalk?? Here, fences are for privacy. There -- deer mitigation?
@Suburbanoasis Жыл бұрын
I never thought about doing anything like that, but I do have an Instagram account you can follow where I put up photos fairly regularly! Our fence is for privacy and deer and because it is required when you have a pool. 😉🍀🌼🌸
