I watched this video regarding Innersense Quiet Calm Curl Control because (1) I purchased it while on sale (2) it was Innersense and should work on kinky coils and (3) I wanted to see your results. Prior to using it, my kinky curly stylist informed me that the product works better on Caucasian type hair so I never used it and I’m not mad! You used a lot of product to get that bomb wash in go! I rather just keeping it simple. Thanks for showing us that we have options and I enjoy your aesthetically relaxing videos 🥰

I purchased this while it was on sale at Ulta as well. I hadn’t heard much about the product, but I like the brand and its values. At first, I did use it a lot. I was a lil concerned lol. I was trying to figure out what to do and quickly discovered that it’s best used as a leave-in/primer. But once I figured out what I was doing, I wasn’t using all that much at all. Now I know I can, without a doubt, get at least six uses out of this one bottle. This is great to see because it’s a new favorite for me 🥳 Thanks for watching 🫶🏾 ☺️

Another bomb result🤩 Thanks to you, I think I am an in shower wash n go convert! My initial attempt a couple of weeks ago was underwhelming, but I've been doing it since and my results get better each time! There's definitely a learning curve with how much water/product to use (esp since I'm experimenting with so many different products to get through my stash lol), but I'm enjoying the process. My last wash n go I did was with Curls B N Control Curl Sculpting Gel and I was impressed! It foamed up so much when I added enough water so the application was very enjoyable, and I got a pretty result. The main thing I've been struggling with though is maintaining my wash n gos. It's like they only last a day or two before I have to put my hair in a puff. Do you have any tips on longevity? I feel like my hair just gets smushed under my bonnet and my curls don't bounce back once I uncover it. My hair stays smushed and when I zhuzh it up, pulling and tugging to get it in shape, it just looks lifeless and stiff :( I think I could definitely use a shaping hair cut and that would help, but I don't have a trusted hair stylist for that yet so I'm just trying to work with what I have 😭I recently got a buff so I'm hoping it will work better than my bonnet, but we'll see. Sorry for the long post! Once again gorgeous results! I look forward to your next upload :)

Ayyye! I’m thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying the process. That’s what it’s about 💜 experimenting is always the way. My hair lacked bounce back and structure when I didn’t go in with a primer/ leave-in or custard first. My base styler works to soften my hair up and make it pliable for the topper, which keeps the curls 🔒 yet bouncy and flexible. I hope that helps! And let me know how that buff works out. I’m inquisitive about switching up my sleeping style with my hair 😚🖤

@@BrittanyMia Hey, Britanny! I haven't used leave in for a while now, but I do have a couple in my stash so I'll definitely try it out for one of my next wash n gos! I can't wait to finish up my current gels so I can step into that UFD life lol. I'll keep you updated on the buff too☺. Thanks for the advice!

First off, love your profile pick! Such a cute cat. Based on your description, it seems like your hair needs more moisture for your wash and gos. I also had the issue of losing shape and excessive frizz when I didn’t use a leave in/cream (or at least a good one). Try layering your hold products on top of a leave in, cream, or botanical moisturizing gel.
@y.m.48102 жыл бұрын
@@coco604 Aw thank you! Your pfp is adorable as well☺️ thanks for the advice! I’ve been trying to perfect my wash n gos since and I commented on a recent video that I think I figured it out: my wash n gos had no crunch! Having a crunchy wash n go is a key for me to longevity + I finally learned the best method to preserve for me. Also, layering gels like you mentioned is something I definitely enjoy the results of. I haven’t experimented too much with leaves ins/creams but I want to down the line. Do you have any fave combos? Thanks again!
@coco6042 жыл бұрын
@@y.m.4810 Yes, crunch in your W+Gs is so important. I had an issue with this week's wash and go when I used a combo that gave me high definition, but no crunch, and it frizzed to such a degree that I had to wash my hair AGAIN. Some of my fave combos are the curlsmith protein cream and pattern curl mouse, the pattern styling cream and umberto giannini curl jelly, and the twist bounce cream and miche sculpt gel.

If you are interested in trying a different Innersense styler with some hold I would try the Innersense I Create Volume on top of UFD Curly Magic as a base! I think you might like that look more with more hold and bigger hair.

@Brittany Mia yeah... I didn't like it. I maybe didn't use enough or something, but I felt like it didn't do anything for my hair. 😖 But it was fun experimenting. 😁
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
@@createyourlegendarylife it’s something about the Innersense products. I absolutely love them, I just wish they were better for definition (the leave-ins and creams). They do a great job at moisturizing my hair but there’s almost no hold. Yet for some reason I still love that cream 😅. Tfs.
@createyourlegendarylife Жыл бұрын
@Brittany Mia Yeah, I love the shampoos & conditioners. The spray leave-in was ok. Right now I've pretty much paired down to Kinky Curly (both steps) + Mousse Def. Or when I want more clumpage, just the leave-in + Mousse Def (it's drier though). I've learned I prefer bigger clumps. You commented something recently to someone about why you don't really use UFD anymore and you articulated why I don't really like it. I was trying to use up what I had left decided to just let it go b/c it wasn't going to get better. Couldn't get the product/water ratio right either. 🤦🏾♀️ Trying to figure out how much I like Ouidad Anti-Humidity Gel... I thought I liked it, but now I dunno. LOL. And as of recently, I think it agitates my hairline. 😢
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
@@createyourlegendarylife Same. I just tried the spray leave-in and it confused me lol but more to come on that. Good! You have some core products that work for you, love that. I have 3 salon sizes of the UFD Curly Magic that I purchased during the half off event they did last year and we're just lookin at each other like 👀. Idk how i'll like the Ouidad Anti_Humidity Gel without the UFD. I'd HAVE to use a cream because it makes my hair soooo stiff with a light leave-in. If it agitates you're hairline issa no.

Are you using it on soaking wet hair? The Curly Magic draws water in and using more water may help distribute it better.
