15:46 - I checked the map file, and it seems like the generator is scripted to break exactly 195 seconds after the finale was started, rather than being tied to the actual wave progression. Also, the generator blackout doesn't need to be rushed. The finale will continue normally while the power is out, it just prevents the truck from physically lowering (And when the escape starts, the truck lowers faster), so it's a viable strategy to wait until the horde is dealt with before reactivating the generator.

@@reimuhakurei2123 It's intentionally set up that way. If it wasn't, then you could speedrun through the finale and be stuck waiting for the truck to slowly lower while the endless horde is active. The lift's lowering speed is one consistent value throughout the finale, it doesn't actually change it's speed dynamically based on the waves.

I got 800+ hrs and im still playing on advanced lmao since i just can't trust randoms. I can do expert pretty well, but when you get randoms that 80% of the time are either new or does not have enough experience. You just wanna smash your head into a wall.

I can't believe the name didn't even register to me until right now. I'm literally posting this at like 2 AM right now because I couldn't sleep and saw you had a few uploads I hadn't watched yet. I straight up questioned my sanity for a moment when I saw MY username at 12:53 pop up. (Worst part is that not even minutes before that at 11:58 I spent a good 5 minutes laughing at Rochelle getting K.O.'d by the Jockey only to now realize that **I** was that Rochelle. T_T) Anyways, I'm honored that: 1.) I could help out with your journey of doing all these campaigns in one sitting. 2.) That someone of your caliber said I was an MVP. 3.) You actually pronounced my username correctly when you said it. (No worries btw, I was already prepared to go down so you could make it since I was already low health. Even then, having you personally thank me and not absolutely BUTCHER my username like 98% of people online do is more than enough for me. ;D) I actually was having a rather crappy day before that campaign after having several high hour players insult/harass me for not doing something "optimally" or being ungodly good at the game. So having someone who's way up there in skill level/experience be so chill was so nice. Not to mention we really were on the same wavelength for most of Hard Rain and The Parish. someone DDosing L4D2's official servers are unfortunately not new, originally occured about a year ago now i think the previous attacks would put players on a 999 ping spike for however long at a time, rendering it unplayable it went away for a while but recently came back in the form of kicking people back to lobbies i dont know the full extent of who or why, just that local servers and some dedicated servers are the way to go in the meantime. the problem being that a lot of dedicated servers have a bunch of mods installed that you may or may not want

Great video! Glad to see another Realism Expert connoisseur on this game. Here is a bit of a cheese trick for Dark Carnival Chapter 4 - you can throw a boomer bile into the doors next to the gate switch & the commons won't be able to pathfind to it. Really useful in a sticky situation.

I only started to take up expert realism after my friends who are new (40+hr) into the game found that I play l4d2. As a 800+hr (still rookie number compared to those bhop sweaty masochist), obviously I want to impress them and teach a bit of tricks, agreed to help them playing expert realism. Besides a week before, i watched way too many pros playing and dont have the spirit to play yet. We ended up trying to complete a campaign the whole night. Retry after retries. And it was fun. Despite all the stupid and god awful misery fails we had. I finally have one step closer to 'Still something to proof' Proof that you 40+hr owe me 800+hr for making me ruin my sleep schudle. So as any sane person would do, we continued to finish all campaign wihin the 2 weeks. Went back to playing normal/advanced felt like a walking simulator now

the shift back to campaign lately has been so real, game feels so much easier now on average. i've always been able to jump up to realism but im usually so much more accustomed to campaign so whenever i come back to campaign after realism it's a much faster session hope y'all took a drink for each time you said "this is the one" hahaha

Good luck with the Versus experience. Normally, from what I've played with, Versus games are either okay (not great) or pure cancer. And that's 100% because of your teammates.

I've had great results in versus lobbies from being aggressively wholesome. Complimenting the other team's good plays, just generally being very vocally friendly. This "gives permission" in a sense to others who would like to set the same tone, and it only takes one other person joining the deliberate effort before the vibe quickly takes over both teams. Toxic players get kicked, or gently bullied ("aww are you okay? need to talk about it?" etc) until they either just precipitate themselves out (that's the most common result I've seen) or at least chill out and pipe down because they're not getting the result they want. Sometimes this lasts for hours and hours as people stick around more through additional campaigns. It works nearly every time in my experience. I hope this helps you or someone else have more pleasant versus matches

in that one case i limped back and checked all the rooms i could and there were no throwables or healing items so even if i was able to kite the tank around enough platforms etc, it would have been a lot of effort with no guarantee that I'd even be able to do it, and also no guarantee it would pay off with a successful chapter run, since there was still the elevator event and many more special infected and hordes to fight through. At that point just accepting we might as well restart to have all 4 survivors

Funny how u spent 2min talking about "Flame" who hasn't played Expert Realism until today and was able to hold his own. Yeah...Advanced Level players aren't the problem 90% of the time. They understand common sense. Like don't spray super close to teammates. Don't block doorways with body to prevent people from passing it unless u know there is something camping corner, now being silent which would fk a teammate unaware up. Being able to save people at least within 2sec. Standard stuff expected in Expert. It's the normal level players that are the problem. Since u could be grabbed right behind the people go from 100 HP to just dead. Generally...if you are doing Expert Realism. 2 Expert Level 1 Advanced 1 Normal/ 1 Expert Lvl 3 Advanced/1 Expert 1 Advanced 2 Normal Lvl if Expert Lvl focus on protecting Adv Lvl over the normal level to ensure a win and they would focus on saving you from pin if it comes to choosing who to save and this is only if the Expert lvl player can play "Hard Eight" comfortable. This will generally get you smooth runs. With some maps requiring map knowledge like on Last Stand Finale. Having 1 person sit on the Yellow Ladder on the lighthouse to prevent commons climbing is mandatory. Since the try hard is the one on the lighthouse practically spawn camping special spawn zones(The "Hard Eight" Lvl player). They just need lil support from commons to mitigate damage the main threats can dish out to the less experienced players.
