12:03 - Umm akshully, as a father, Tolkien was a devout Catholic, whereas C.S. Lewis was an Anglican. It was, in fact, Tolkien who converted Lewis to Christianity, though C.S. Lewis became a protestant. The two would debate theology regularly and remained good friends till death. Tolkien wasn't the biggest fan of a straight allegorical representation of Christianity (such as in Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia).

Tolkien didn’t not believe in God. He was a devout Catholic and even said the lord of the rings was a fundamental religious and Catholic work. Him and CS Lewis debated Christian fundamentals and doctrine but not their belief in God. 😊
