I think we should be sincere and honest in saying this, because some people might not like it. But she is the true Pop icon, and I'm not just saying this because I'm very fond of her music since I grew up with her and her most famous songs, but she has had an impact that no one else in the music world has ever had. Moreover, her story perhaps made us connect more with her, but she is the true raw gem of Pop music. It's really sad that she has retired.

She’s always said that she’s inspired by Janet. I don’t see anything wrong with that. All artists were somehow inspired by artists they grew up with. Britney had bigger hits than Janet and made more impact in pop music that’s for sure. She sold millions of albums even before turning 20. She was a phenomenon. Janet never achieved that level of fame or success.
