Hey Ondrea! I am just now able to catch up on everyone's videos. You are looking great girl! I understand the apprehension to try new foods after having a not so good experience with something. Do you use myfitness pal? Maybe keeping a food diary of the new things that you are trying will help. Doing these videos really help me with anxiety. Congrats on the loss too!

Looks like you're doing well! Congrats on the loss so far. As far as chicken I'm 5.5 wks post op & am able to eat grilled chicken breast with no problems. Actually, I'm not having any problems with any of the foods I've tried except for cream of mushroom soup once. Good luck with figuring out what works for you.

Thanks Erin. It does seem to be a trial and error sort of thing!

When said release already for all foods, I would have the same reaction. I say listen to yourself and taking it easy and meeting your water and protein you'll do well. I think we get also more sensitive to foods so we need to find works for us. I love exercise but I thinking finding what you enjoy will help you. You got this! I have heard people have breakouts with birth control and I have hear that it's subsides too. Clothes!!! Yup I feel the same. Some seem to fit and some seem too big but I kept a lot my old clothes when I was 20#s lighter than now so I been trying to fit into those. Can't wait. Winter!!! I can't wait!!! Chicken I can eat…cooking in the crockpot is great and easy! It does keep it most! You always add some broth when you eat it and microwave it a bit with a lid on it and shake it and it will help absorb the broth. Hope that helps! You are doing awesome and keep up my friend! ((Hugs))

Keep trying the different foods. As the swelling goes down, things will sit much better with you!! Try it very slowly. Tiny bites. Chew really well. I have to wait an hour after I eat and even that is sometimes too soon to drink. The hormones go up anyway with weight loss because of hormones released from the fat as its lost. Hang in there. It all gets better!! All of it! This is short term!! 😘💗😘💗

I do have to remind myself that this is all temporary and not permanent because sometimes I feel like I will never be able to eat "regular" food again! Thanks for the advice, Jodi :)

Well, I think you are looking great! There are always going to be those bumps along the way. Soon you'll be past those and on to others, so patience I guess.. My suggestion for moist chicken is to brine it. That's the best way I think to keep it moist, especially the white meat. Good luck!😀

Congratulations on your loss!!👏👏👏 You look nice and happy! Your friend lives in VA have you ever been there? VA is near me 😁. I hope to meet you one day.🙌 Are you feeling still full when you eat? It seems scary when weight loss people say food seems to not go down. I know everyone always talking about things changed with foods. Have you tried anything extra soft or mashed like chicken baked or rotisserie, or possible cook it slow in a slow cooker use some water or chicken broth to make it extra soft and moist. I saw in a Chinese restaurant Carryout a small diet section that had no msg, steamed chicken, veggies, etc. I said I'm going to try it to see if I might want it much later or diet food for me not to eat greasy Chinese. I think any pounds lost is good! 👍

I've been to and through Virginia and will let you know the next time I plan to, it would be so great to meet :) I can tell what being hungry feels like (and its similar to pre-op) but feeling "full" is different now. I don't really feel "full" but I do feel satisfied and not hungry (if that makes sense) Its kind of weird to explain. I haven't had much trouble with food not wanting to go down, but I can understand what that may feel like. Kind of like your esophagus is playing a tough bouncer to your pouch and giving food a bit of a struggle before letting it in the pouch. I actually live in an apartment right above a Chinese restaurant. I haven't been in there in a while but it might be time to check it out!

+Princess Luv RNY Journey My friend lives in the Charlottesville area. I was in the DC area for a conference earlier this year, then I drove south for a short visit back to my home state of South Carolina. What part of Virginia are you in?

+Ondrea RNY I'm in DC/MD area but VA is close across the bridge...Alexandria is the closest. I don't go anywhere else but I've been to Fairfax and a few others but I rode with someone not driving.
