PD is still something I listen to in full nearly weekly, and I think River's songwriting is mostly the same at the very core between the records; I just like that PD (and hopefully black) has a more cryptic, introspective writing. And it's not like Incubus who reinvented themselves every album. I can still get down to their stuff. They're more like Our Lady Peace and Third Eye Blind who's first handful of albums were all very different but very good and the new ones all fit a mold that just doesn't resonate with me.
