As cool as it is to see a machine purpose built for PCB milling, you can get similar results from a cheap little desktop CNC router. This machine is probably aimed at small businesses, but for a hobbyist or DIY'er you can save a lot of money with other options.

price is too steep to be used only for prototyping. cheaper desktop cnc does almost the same job at 1/10th of the price, may not be precise as this one but for proto typing its feasible. my local vender too does it in just 2 days

@@____________________ok precision isn't provided by the steppers (mostly) but rigidity of the body, small tolerances of slides and ball screws. Working at non-resonant speeds also important.

@@____________________ok Most of steppers on hobbytist market are 200 full-steps per rotation. Some are 400. Stepper drivers usually drive them at 16 microsteps (I use 64 microsteps for a low noise run). Precision of a servo motor depends on either analog to digital converter of the controller or steps-per-rotation of the encoder and control algo. I got resin, flament 3d printers and CNC3020 mini mill. All use open-loop steppers. If something goes wrong about print quality due to non precise dimensions it's not because the steppers or stepper drivers but either loose belts, high clearance linear guides or non-rigid articulation due to high temp which are all 3d printed PLA. CNC3020 (similar to this product) has more than 1mm of leadscrew clearence in opposite directions. If you apply little force to toolhead carrier it bends noticibly. CNC3020 is made off aluminun extruded profiles, bakelite columns and suface hardened steel and linear bearings. www.aliexpress.com/item/32917408111.html isn't the solution to my problems I'm planning to redesign/re-print PLA parts of my 3D printer by using ABS flament, replace lead screws of my CNC3020 with ball lead screws, replace linear ball bearings with more rigid linear rails.

If you want Copa dust in your lungs then this is the right machine for you, it just terrible how some people think the dust and the debris that this machine creates in the tiniest form that is out there with the small particles of the glass fiber composite that this will not affect anyone that stands in front or near or in the room of this machine. There is a specific point in that that these kind of machines are in an environment. Their air is cleaned multiple times a day and completely closed systems. If you search of reason for cancer and other things here you can find it.

not only schools, but internet plays a big part, for example you can choose what content to watch, but usually people like to watch dumb things instead of this, you can watch and just skip, or you can try to find out what it takes to learn this and start doing it yourself, I'm not excluding me from this, sometimes I loose time on useless content, but sometimes I learn useful things too

what program do you use to convert the gerber PCB files to G code so that the milling machine can mill the PCBs?? I am using KiCad to develop circuit/pcbs, but after that.. I cant export the gerber files to the milling machine.. I cant find any good information about how to do that, I miss a nice step by step tutorial on from the beginning to the end. You can have the pcb within a few hours. Usually, I order my pcbs, but sometimes I need a pcb NOW. Then it is great, if you have everything needed at home. I do not own a milling machine, I'm using toner transfer and etching.

Сложную плату он будет рисовать час, а протравить плату любой сложности можно за десять минут. И никакого сложного оборудования для этого не надо. К тому же протравливать можно сразу хоть сто штук. Совершенно не рентабельное использование техники.

I agree its 2500$ for a machine and about 1k for a uv exposer which u can extract from a resin printer but the again i think this is better if u dont have access to dissolving compounds

I think that all plastic parts can be printed on 3D-printer. It can be hard to cut PCB so precisely without CNC machine, so, maybe, it will be better to redesign the case for fixing all parts with screws. Or place all parts to the square corrugated cardboard with thermoglue )

1) circuit design >1A) fundamentals of circuits and how they work in theory >1B) electronics class would also help >1C) learn how to operate electronic computer aided design (ECAD) software 2) coding >2A) C++ >2B) Python is a good place to start 3) milling machine operation >3A) purchase and learn how to operate to make those circuits and acrylic cutouts >3B) send your design from ECAD software to an online service (this can be as cheap as a few bucks per printed computer board (PCB) I am probably missing other things like learning how to solder, patience, dedication if you're starting from close to zero.
