I received him 2 days ago, with mine most ratchet joints are quite doable, except the central joints in his fingers. The light in the cannon arm is bright blue, and quite strong. From the reviews I've seen this one was aesthetically the most pleasing to me, his higher play factor and lower price are just added bonuses. Mine came without the card or instructions though, and like yours it was the one without the bonus face.

Man for me this thing is perfection. I'm not a big fan of plane cartoon model MP's so I love the details and tampos especially at the scale he's supposed to be (makes him feel more like a city that walks) and all those extras!

SO I rewatched the DX9 Gabriel review after this, and I have to say the following: While I think Gabriel's head/turret is second to none, Wei Jiang's offering appears to have what I call the 'Big Spring' factor. Open and Play's Big Spring is not the most accurate of the MP Springers, I find that when I am sitting and watching TV, I will pick him up and play with him. Ultima Guard looks the same. I thank you, because now I know which one I am going to get...

I don't understand why this is not a masterpiece. I saw the others being reviewed but I bought this since I thought it was the best. Plus I keep stuff in alt mode and that's where this shines more than the others by far.

So glad I went with this version instead of the other 2 osized ones, all 3 great. But Ben I also suffer from disability &diseases so he was much lighter&less expensive not 2mention He Talks! I love listening to him talk, plus love his design and details/paints tempos. He's amazing in both modes, especially when lit up.

Great review Ben! My only real issue with him is, as you mentioned, the head. The face is a bit too human, sits a bit too far back, and the placement of the neck-swivel is odd. However, those flaws aside, I think he looks fantastic, and I'm currently about to list a few toys to sell off to order this guy (from TF-Direct). Also, I agree with the other posters who suggested that "Bones" should remain as your channel-mascot :D

Now we need upscaled or larger 3rd party versions of all the combiners to have a gigantic brawl, both in terms of size and thr size of the combatants. Not a fan of so many ratchet joints but it's necessary for a figure this big to remain stable.

Wow, that's super impressive. I've been thinking for months that Gabriel was the clear winner of the bunch, but seeing this, Ultima Guard is a serious contender. Does the plastic quality compare to DX9 well? I absolutely love the sculpted detail (I'm a huge fan of the Gigasaurs), the darker grey, and the launch platform looks great compared to the others. Major props to Wei Jiang.

That's actually pretty cool. Bones looks like something outta Transformers Animated. That butterfly shoulder seems like it wouldn't spread that far even without the wings attached. I like the almost Headmaster/Mazinger Z nature of slipping the tank into the body for the head...nice & elegantly SIMPLE!! And the tank goes around the tracks pretty FAST, are the G1, DX9, & FansToys versions that fast!? Seems like it's powered by Sonic the Hedgehog, it's going so fast... EDIT 2019Feb07: Here I am looking at this again, lol. I think I see what's so off about that face sculpt!! It may not be related, but they've got all these badass sourpuss phrases (typical Omega Supreme), *but the face looks like it's smiling*, something that didn't happen often (I only remember it ONCE in the show)!!

Thanks for the critical review! The head swivel looks really unnatural to me but otherwise I don’t quite understand why you don’t qualify this one as MP though. Can you elaborate? And I missed a reference to its assumed price tag. For around 2/3rds the price of the others, and an extra Bones the size of MP-10, it is looking to be a damn good buy! :)

Erwin Roosjen I agree. This is the most masterpiece quality in my opinion. You actually get details on him which you'd want on a citybot. And the extras like blast affects, and flight stands, lights and sounds, and a moving tank really make this feel like a 200 dollar toy.

I was referring to Cartoon accuracy which is what the current run of MP bots are aiming for. That is all, build wise this is easily on par with the others and I will be displaying it with my Gigapower Dinos... not quite the TV look but have an amazing presence

The rocket blast accessory reminds me a lot of the piece you got with Fans Toys Sovereign to simulate a laser blast. Both in terms of shape and size. Still, this looks like a cool figure!

I really like that it uses regular batteries and not those pill batteries. The price and features make this a little better for kids to play with. I don't know how much the original Omega G1 was, but around 200 is not out of the realm of possibility. I think I got a voltron Sea, land and air when I was a kid for 100+ dollars. Style wise, my biggest issue is the claws. They look too flat. beef them up about 50%.

Hey dude, liked your video. That "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" sound effect, isn't that from the intro of Thunderbirds? I was really expecting it to say "Thunderbirds are go" at the end. I like this figure but like you said, it has something missing. It could easily have been the better one out of all the Omegas. The head sculpt and rotation look odd which I'm kind of OK with but dam, that tank mode. I don't mean to be mean but, it looks more like something that could feature in an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine. BTW, why were you whispering when you had it displayed in its base mode at the end, disapproving wife, maybe? ;)

Initially, I was thinking I would get Terminus giganticus as my Omega Supreme for my Masterpiece collection (which I have done) and then I would wait for a blue recolor of dx9 and Wai Jiang, so that they could be the generic Guardians. But now I'm thinking that maybe I need to get this one to keep in base mode and I'll have Terminus giganticus as my Omega in bot mode.
