@BAWhite-rf2bs Жыл бұрын
Kyle, thanks for the step by step on changing the scales on the 110, especially the trick of plugging the rivet holes. Knowing me I would have not done that and then wondered why it wouldn't work. You do really nice work.....
@ralphgibson3696Күн бұрын
I love your work with the Buck 110. Not sure when I bought mine, but I know I had it before 1972, when I graduated from High School. Interesting that mine only has three rivet pins, where yours has four. I found your channel looking into the best way to sharpen my knife, and got hooked. Great videos and much appreciated. Cheers

The green handle on that buck 110 looks fantastic with the grinding job on the lock bar & blade. Everyone can see your pride in perfect craftsmanship, it's a joy to see the work you do

Wow, I absolutely love it, that is one gorgeous knife! I love my Buck 110 but now you have got me hankering for something more, stunning work! - and I love the satin finish.

Very pretty, the color reminds me of the 1950's aesthetic. I preferred the satin to the highly polished metal, but both are lovely.

I was lucky enough to pick up a buck 110 this weekend that's got a filed spine on the lock bar and blade, that's also a switch blade. I didn't know they made them like that, but it's a really cool knife!

I cant afford not to with the amount of time I spend working in the shop. The effects over time just aren't worth it, especially with how comfortable modern ppe is! Once you get used to it, it's far more comfortable to have it on.

Hey Kyle buddy! As a fisherman here in newfoundland along with the rest of the fisherman on this channel. You should design us a knife specifically for rope and twine for something to have as a razor shape knife on our hip. Very beautiful outcome on that knife!!... I have a question for you; I've seen many videos from several people who 'make'/modify knives but I've NEVER seen anyone replace the blade on Buck 110/112, is that even possible???
@kyle_noseworthy2 жыл бұрын
It sure is! The pivot pin is faintly visible and can be driven out to replace a blade
@xman8700962 жыл бұрын
@@kyle_noseworthy Good to know! I have an old 110 that I've had for almost 50yrs old that has a lot of sentimental value to me. It's taken a lot of HARD use over the years and has never let me down... I'm considering having it customized but it would be pointless to do so unless I can get a new blade as I want to gift it to one of my grand kids and I want to give him something special instead of some 'janky' old knife.... Thank you for the quick reply!!

@wolfman19182 жыл бұрын
Not to be critical or anything, but don’t you worry about only using epoxy on the scales with no mechanical anchor like a pin? Won’t they rattle loose or pop off?

Nice work, I am not a fan of wood scales...clean work you do! You call it file work, lol...but all you use is machinery to add decoration...filework is a skill and will be applied by hand with specialized metal files...in this case....diamond files because of hardened steel....not an easy job but way more detailed decorations able to produce!! Nice video!!
