Can you do a review on Cutco knives? I was hired and trained to sell their knives, but after a bit of research, I found out that the company has a very sketchy history, and now I'm on the fence on whether I should stay with Cutco. I'm actually job hunting as I'm typing this comment.

For collectors of R.H. Ruana knives, leaving a knife such as this one in its original as-found condition, with its original factory grind marks, and many years of worn finish is the best way to retain the absolute most value in the knife. This restoration is impressive, and the knife is more beautiful now (in some people's eyes) but unfortunately it has now lost value to many collectors. Just something to keep in mind. Also, some people see the beauty in a knife that retains its original finish, wear marks, scratches, etc as it tells a story of history and how it was used over its lifetime as a useful tool. They are only original once!

Yeah i personally love the vintage knife patina as long its not actual rust. Kyle also just did what the client wants, and im sure the client will be extremely happy. I have never before heard this company, and the knife looks really cool. Over here i dont find lot of old american knives from flea markets, and so on, but definetly will pick one up if im lucky enough to come across one.

Kyle, this video just brought back a ton of memories from my childhood. I grew up about 2 to 3 hours south of Bonner. All the old cowboys and woodsmen had the kind of knife you were working on. They loved these knives for the rugged look and the over all durability. That being said, you did an outstanding job on that knife. I have always wanted to see what one would look like all polished up, and you sir made it look absolutely stunning!

Great video man I love the restorations! I love grilled corn are used to cook mine just like that until my grandmother suggested another way. Leave the husk on the corn soak it in water for a couple hours before grilling then grill it slow and it will steam and you still get the smoky flavor. Then you can remove the husk and char it if you like that. Great video man keep up the good work

Beautiful mirror polish on that fixed blade. Kyle, with all respect - I love the blade shape on the O-Knife. It's reminiscent of a trailing point Persian style, yet still a clip point. Being a Maritimer I feel the need to caution you Atlantic Province folks... about how you handle your knife! I noticed when you opened the packaging you cut toward yourself (danger/danger). My grandfather cautioned me when he gave me my first pocket knife - to always cut toward your friends. That way you will never cut yourself. Good advice I say. As some others have mentioned I also love BBQ corn as well but gave up grilling it without the husk. Soaking it for an hour or so, pull the tassels off and load up with butter salt, and pepper then grill with the husk on, no worry about scorching the corn, the husk takes all the damage -- heaven. Great video. Checked out the EDC and they have a sale starting in 3 days from this date.

Hey Buddy , great video love the knives , but I still Like your knives better . Another way of cooking the corn , is to leave on the husk of the corn and soak them in a sink of water for an hour or so then cook over fire or BBQ . Like you said it makes nice sweet tasting corn steamed in its own juices. The husk will take any charring , and when you peel back the husk it makes a nice handle to hold your corn with while it is hot . Great Food .

Those were made by the Olld man. They were butt ugly when new, but, oh, Brother, did they work. There was no "model", each one was a work of art. He used to bring them in to Great Falls when he'd get a batch made up, and sell 'em at Skaggs Drug Store up on 10th Ave. So. when I was stationed there in the 70's at Malmstrom AFB. I'd heard he forged them from truck springs, and preferred Studebaker. When the Old Man passed, there was a definite lapse, and a distinct difference in the blades the Sons made and sold.
