Bought the Andersen to replace my equalizer because of all the great reviews. I watched a few videos on initial setup followed the instructions exactly. The weight distribution was great and reduced the bouncing effect, but it is a long way from “no-sway”. Also, after 150 miles the bushings in the ball mechanism were shot. The remaining 50 miles on my drive home was miserable. I did some more research and this is a common theme that is only discussed by the many that have experienced it. Junk

Been using the Andersen for 7 years. Great WDH and antisway system. The whole thing weighs only about 60 lbs, but you only have to deal with the triangle plate when hitching/unhitching...maybe 5 lbs.

The Andersen system is, hands down, the best WD hitch I have ever used. I have made some long drives, with wind, and my fatigue/stress level has been virtually zero. Also, my wife can physically hitch our trailer - no spring bars! By the way, our trailer has a tongue weight of 900 lbs. and gvwr of 9000 lbs. I would never (voluntarily) go back to a spring bar system.

Don Truell what's the length of your trailer. I'm at 9,000 lbs, 38 feet and using blue OX but it doesn't eliminate sway wiggle I get in winds. Was thinking only Hensley could totally eliminate the wiggles.

@@hitchsource You really think it's better than the EAS R3? I have that system and a 30' 6500 lb "empty Coleman camper behind my 2011 F15 Supercrew and the crosswinds in Texas gave me sway/wiggle on the highway this summer that had me white knuckling it! I have been looking at the Hensley Arrow and Propride but boy are they proud of those!

I just learned of the owner of Anderson hitches defacing a arch at Arches National Park . No way would I buy anything from that guy .

I liked the video. I have been researching info, articles and videos to compare WDHs. I have an Esa-Lift with chained spring bars, and want to upgrade. I like the Andersen system the most.

I just picked up a round bar e2 used for 200 bucks. Really nice condition and hardly used.

how would you keep the spring bars on the blue ox from dragging on the ground?

Does the weight distribution kit itself put towing weight on the hitch, the trailer or the vehicle- I do not want to go over my axile limit

We are partial to the Andersen No Sway. It has a wide range of trailer fitments and tongue weight compatibility. It's easy to setup and can be tuned to balance your trailer exactly to level.

At the 3.40 mark we see the nut on the end of the chain against the red dampener BUT NO WASHER !!! That would allow the nut to chew out and destroy the dampener. Not a good idea.
@OregonCoastVideo4 жыл бұрын
its a Poly Urethane Washer that the nut is on.. LEARN!
@zacandmillie4 жыл бұрын
@@OregonCoastVideo It's not a washer, it's a dampener. Still would not hurt to use a washer. As you tighten the nut it exerts increasing pressure on the dampener and that increased friction could start to tear the dampener.
@langan90004 жыл бұрын
You are supposed to use a washer with the nut it comes with the hitch. But for display purposes not having the washer isn't going to hurt anything
@lorneserpa588811 ай бұрын
It's not going to hurt anything until....someone uses you video as a guide. Obviously shouldn't but you know people.
