Weight Reduction vs Power (See Thru Car on Nitrous vs C43 AMG)

I set up nitrous on the see-through car and then go up against a C43 AMG with and without NOS in a Drag Race in this episode of Warped Perception.
I guess it's kind of like weight reduction versus Power and the results are very interesting, seeing as my E-Class Mercedes puts out much less power then the C43 AMG I won the Races by more than a car and a half.
I also end up finally repairing the transmission by changing the conductor plate, installing a set of Hoosier slicks, and installing wet fogger nitrous kit by Zex.
This episode is basically to show everybody how nitrous oxide is used on a car and why people use it, and simply put it's bolt-on power, as I demonstrate in this episode you can clearly see the difference with and without Nitrous.
In this episode I first set up the race, then I end up fixing the conductor plate in the transmission, then I mount some Hoosier slicks, and then last but not least I install the nitrous kit and go up for another round of races against the C43 AMG who also has nitrous.

I was so pissed, I had to reupload the video redo all the tags, transcript, the whole nine yards and then it takes about 10 hours for my videos to process because they are very high bitrate 4K. At that point there's no way to fix that. But apparently after doing some research I found out that that's actually a bug in the newest KZbin app. I mean why would the leading a video from a playlist on your phone delete the entire KZbin video. I guess it happens software so complicated nowadays a lot of things get overlooked when developing it.

@Dave Micolichek well, that makes sense, if you have a 50HP shot you increase the power over the whole revrange, and if you gain 50hp at 2000rpm you will gain faaar more torque there than if you gain 50hp at 10, 11, 12, 13, 14'000 rpm. Or more.

@@kwoods3379 Higher octane is only needed if you are knocking/pinging. A higher octane simply means that the gasoline is more resistant to pre-detonation. It does not give you more power unless the engine knocks.

The engine mount went in my Camry once, was to broke to replace it, so I wrapped a fat chain around the engine and strapped it to the chassis cross brace. It worked.

You should bump that thing to a 125 shot but use c16 for the fuel in the nitrous nozzle (seperate fuel system) then be sure to have at least 93 oct in the tank and let it eat haha.

That's an interesting idea, I would imagine you can just put a small tank of c16 with an axillary fuel pump and a pressure relief. I'm totally going to have to try that out, you also gave me another idea.

That's really the easiest, cheapest and safest way to do it without needing to tune. WOT activation only and run it super rich to prevent detonating.

I had to remove my zex kit after a few runs, a piece of the sintered filter broke off and got stuck in the solenoid causing the nitrous to stay on... which froze my throttle at full open. I cut ignition but at restart my air filter exploded into flames. No permanent damage except for a destroyed k&n but I was all set after that.

It's okay, well the one that's completely missing happened when I was about 2 years old, I was curious about a machine, as I always have been, got a little bit too close, my parents weren't paying attention and the rest is history. My ring finger tip is gone, because of a dog fight, long story and I didn't try to separate the dogs. Instead of using an intermittent switch on your steering wheel like they do in the movies, you should be using a WOT switch so it's only spraying at full-throttle when your fuel injectors are maxed out. The spray will stop itself as you let off to shift. You'll get much better results off the line, and your PSI will be dropping off by 1/8 mile so you don't grenade the engine as you cross the finish line.

So I actually went further than that, I tied in to the throttle position sensor, so the only time the nitrous will activate is when it's at wide open throttle and the nitrous button is pushed. What the nitrous solenoid would still getting stuck for some reason, it wasn't the way I wired it up, I was thinking about doing a how to video on wiring up the nitrous on this Mercedes though, but again the nitrous will only activate when the car is at wide open throttle and the nitrous button is pushed, not one or the other but both in combination.

@@WarpedYT That's a good start. I used to run the same ZEX kit so from experience, I can say it's best to just spray off the line. It's a lower-flow kit than NOS because the high-pressure lines are not the same gauge. N2O is most effective at low-end RPM ranges where the acceleration potential is greater. If you wait until you're reaching peak rpm before a shift it's mostly creating extra heat through an inefficient power range. Try it out - short out your switch for a run and compare your 1/8th mile times.

Yeah I haven't seen many of those videos except for one last year, Leroy, someone commented about cleetus McFarland so I looked it up. I won't be stringing out those episodes though, this was just something in between for fun before I jump into the next real episode which is super extreme. I know there's some character development going on here to where people are becoming fond of the car, but one thing that I'm making very relevant is the fact that you can basically fix just about anything if you need to. So if I end up bending the strut towers or damaging the car, I'm planning on fixing it and putting it back to the way it was before it got damaged.

That was the original idea, however when I strip down the car to fit it with see-through components I determined that it would be much too hard to maintain, sends the underside of the thunders and the panels would have to be kept clean, that would be almost impossible. So I left it the way you see it and I think it was a good thanks for the feedback.

the opponent is always on right side.. you should try swapping because the white paint lines could have an effect on the friction levels. I don't know much about it but i guess it causes a bit of resistance and you see the opponent's one Tyre is on the white lines most of the time..
