I think making a legit small scale rc scale with one would be sweet.. could print out and mill all the parts you can't find.

We all say what we want but 1 thing is for sure. Even the cheapest 50cc scooter makes more power and more reliable than this 50cc V12😂😂

that was a shockingly low. i thought at least this would make like 10-15! but 1.25 is very low imo.

So everytime you break some of the headers you lose hp.. Is there a connection? Maybe build better exhaust pipes? A motor needs some resistance. I´m just guessing.

I seen a guy build a v8 blindfolded. It took him 4 hours but it was perfectly put together and it showed just over 5HP

Some wobbling is probably alright, it’ll either come true after wear or it’ll come right off after wear, either probably a good result. It’s got the power of a regular old moped so for a toy it’s pretty impressive probably, maybe.

Since the alu headers didn’t work, deffo try finding someone to fab an equal length 12-2-1 exhaust! I wonder how much of that race v12 whine you can get out of the little bugger

The reason you lost horsepower instead of gaining is because your headers melted off. You need at least some backpressure for the engine to work against, that's why event top fuel dragsters have headers. Too little backpressure, and you wont make any power. Try making some in stainless steel that won't melt. Also this is chinese crap manufacturing. I haven't experience anything that is good quality of anything from china if it doesn't cost the same as if it was manufactured in the west. Volume reduces price always. But if the materials are substandard, then the end result is too. Remanufacture this with tolerances to 1/10000 of a mm instead of inches, then you'd see some results. Try getting this thing made by some machine shop in Rumania, Hungary, Kroatia or Serbia (those guys are probably the best machinists in the world, and you'd get something durable. Many companies in that regian makes one off's that are absolutely awesom, without killing you pricewise either.

I mean, if you are going to charge 3k for an engine, even if is just for get it mounted on a stand and run it eventually, you need to do at least a decent desing, everything of this engine have flaws, starting from concept to tolerances in each part... I think is just not worth to repair it but hey, if you want and you can who can judge?

A 50cc single cylinder 4 stroke gasoline engine makes ~2 hp for a basic use engine to maybe 8 hp for a high performance race engine for a mini bike or something. Considering a 12 cylinder will have more pumping losses than a single cylinder, not to mention the parasitic loss of the valvetrain and water pump etc and the fact that these engines are made to look and sound cool, not to actually power anything, im saying at the beginning of the video that it makes 1 hp.

Can someone tell me the cost of a non-chinese 50cc 12-cylinder that is equivalent? And how about as we would expect of a true good version? My point is that yeah it’s garbage, but it’s cool garbage that 2 million of us are enjoying a video of.

I'd love to see you rebuild it with a copper headgasket, better crank/flywheel and exhausts, bigger coolant lines, maybe mill the water passages deeper for more cooling. Not sure what you can do about the piston rings, maybe electroplate them for a long time to try build up their thickness ? Consider mixing some tungsten disulphide into the oil, every little helps in reducing friction on such small splash lubricated engines.

I would really love to see someone make motors for like go carts, bikes, scooters etc, not something slapped together in china. Something makes decent power and actually lasts. The chuan qi V8 looks really cool but I doubt it would last. I really like the idea of small little engines like this.
