Now i started to work out again but doing dips and muscleups and triceps dips on rings started to become a dream bcuz doing that make me feel a bad pain btw my chests. İ hate this injury

Yes, avoid it for a while and do instead another exercise! I had an AC joint and impingement and that's what I did and then when you feel better after 2-3 months you can start working again on dips

Hey Micha, based on your second point of too wide a grip leading to more shoulder pain, do you think bulgarian ring dips would also induce shoulder pain to a similar degree as wide grip parallel bar dips?

It all depends on the loading. For bw reps probably no problem

Hey man awesome video! The only question I have about the dip is, if I'm leaning forward a little bit in order to activate the chest more, do I move my legs forward to or do I keep them in line with the rest of my body? Cheers!

you try to keep the weight path as vertical as possible
@c4joshwa6642 жыл бұрын
@@MichaSchulz that is horrible advice lol
@Brimocholas2 жыл бұрын
@@c4joshwa664 But if you think about it, imagine you're doing weighted dips. The load should move up and down in a straight line just like it would on a deadlift or squat above mid-foot. I would presume that would lead to less stress on shoulders. I think you misconstrue for a vertical body position.
@c4joshwa6642 жыл бұрын
@@Brimocholas I actually forgot I even made this comment but yeah you’re correct, my apologies. I misinterpreted “weight path” as body position in which trying to stay as vertical as possible is not good advice.

Very interesting stuff!!! I think I'm having the first problem, where I think I'm protracting the shoulders, nevertheless I think that I'm not depressing the scapula enough. I had problems with my rotator cuff lately, and I think it's related. What exercises would you use to strengthen the depression and also the rotator cuff?

@JorgeReyes-bo7uc3 жыл бұрын
Ey Micha great video. I have found some people who experience pain but not right in the front shoulder, more at the end of the clavicule. I've realized this people while doing weighted dip lack the isometric strength to keep themselves up, to put the scapulas down, which I've heard you is something very important for weighted dips, instead these people kind of "sink". Do you think doing weighted straight arms dips could help these? Like having weak lower traps maybe? Thanks in advance.
@MichaSchulz3 жыл бұрын
it's most likely a weak chest/traps. But yes, those dip shrugs can help

@MichaSchulz3 жыл бұрын
Die Meta Analyse ist hier nicht zielführend: 'There was no between group difference in AHD in neutral shoulder position (mean difference [95% CI] 0.28 [−0.13 to 0.69] mm), shoulder abduction at 45° (−0.02 [−0.99 to 0.96] mm) or 60° (−0.20 [−0.61 to 0.20] mm).
@theevildead963 жыл бұрын
Abduktions
@theevildead963 жыл бұрын
@MichaSchulz3 жыл бұрын

Hello, regarding parallel dip bars, would it be possible to have the bars at an angle without connecting the bases together and perform weighted dips safely without having them slip and falling on your knees with 50+kgs of weights ? I'm torn between getting custom made parallel dip bars (about 130-140cm tall) in order to do not only dips but also front lever/rows etc or a dip stand like yours which imo is the best you can get for dips in terms of stability. Thank you
