Btw, the poodle featured in this interview was none other than Al's pet poodle Bela. Sadly, she passed away about a year after this was recorded (circa 2006). Bela was also featured on the front cover of the album "Poodle Hat".

Al did a series with the Nerdist KZbin channel recently called "Face To Face With Weird Al Yankovic." It had about ten episodes with several different celebrity "interview subjects." That's about the closest we got. I don't think anyone knows specifically why nothing happened on VH1/MTV, but from what I understand, they have severely limited Al's airtime in the last few years; that's probably why he didn't think it was quite worth it this time.
