I was watching wrestling in the late 80s & my dad walks through. "Ric Flair?!? That guy's still wrestling?" He was on Rogan a few months ago talking about his recent match. Still going 30 years after he was "too old" I was way into it for a few years and that was it. I did see a few of the A&E bios and they're good. The one with Ray Mysterio was fantastic and I knew nothing about him. A cage match for the custody of his son? Hell yeah!

Flair had his "Final Match" in July 2022... probably WILL be his last- since It's come out he suffered a _heart attack_ while wrestling it.
@shanester18325 ай бұрын
@brianknapp6215 I knew he wasn't regularly going at it and it was a stunt event but still, he still did it. On Rogan he was teasing maybe one more. He doesn't need to, he's got all his little weed products he's making money from.

@@shanester1832 Flair should have retired a _decade_ ago... at least he's gotten to see his daughter Charlotte find success and notoriety in the "family business"!

Those wrestling buddies sold pretty well, and were somehow a hit for whoever made them.

I watched a little bit of wrestling here and there as a kid, but not much. When I did watch, my favorites were Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sting (when he had the whole gimmick where he looked like The Crow).

I still can't wrap my head around the appeal of the cartoon _Hulk Hogan's Rock 'N Wrestling..._
@shanester18325 ай бұрын
I watched it. I don't really remember the premise, but it was unusual that these "enemies" were sometimes friends in cartoon world. It was at its peak with all the name brand stars. They could've done anything; pillows, toothpaste, Saturday morning cartoons & breakfast cereal.

Random wrestling story I never have reason to tell. Probably 6th grade at a small town wresting event, lower tier circuit stuff. Me & friend stood on a table at the back of the building for a better view. We're watching, not that exciting. Suddenly a deafening explosive sound popped off. It was the sound of that particle board table snapping in half and us falling to the ground. Everybody was looking at us, even the wrestlers, still in grapple mode, staring at the 2 idiots. Pure distilled embarrasment.

@tperson8347 I stood up with fresh shock & confusion and see hundreds of people in a fairgrounds auditorium all staring at us. The wrestlers were in a tie up position, standing with their hands on each other's shoulders/necks both paused their intense struggle to stare at us. Time stopped. It was like a scene in a movie.

I know you were doing a big regarding Demolition/Insane Clown Posse, but funny enough ICP are actually highly involved in wrestling they did a lot of stuff for WWF in the 90s, and even owning their own promotion: Juggalo Championship Wrestling.

I'm the same way, I didn't like boys trying to wrestle with me. I never really got into wrestling too much, but if I could at least get into the old stuff a little bit. I still can't get over Mr.T teaming up with Hulk Hogan in the ring. I caught myself really getting into it. I was legitimately excited about the match. It was a fun time. :) I had that thumb wrestler figure with the white shirt and the red knee pads. I have no idea where I got it. :) Thanks for the video

I saw that chicks reaction to a wrestler in the highlander movie and I thought they must be cool. As amused as I was, I only had 1 or 2 figures. I'll pass on the spray figures 🤣🤣🤣. I did like slim jims and the commercials. If you ask me, teen boys have it good now with co-ed wrestling. But, that's just an opinion 😂😂😂😂😂😂🙊😭
