Figure out a reasonable fee to charge him for the extra trip. As long as he is a paying customer keep him.

Go back if he's willing to pay an extra trip charge. Not your fault he forgot to leave the money, you didn't forget to make the delivery. You're not wrong for being pissed.

since he's buying 5 cord of good wood give him another chance, but I get your frustration

You're a good business man bro. And you do need to keep in contact with the customers to make sure you're gonna get paid! That's very important because there's too many people who will try to take advantage of you. Be careful out there bro

Charge him an extra $25

I wouldn’t dump him over one misunderstanding but I might over the other nonsense. I’d probably take it at the original price and let him know there’s going to be new pricing for the second trip if it happens again.

This is what I'm going to do I think. I have a feeling this customer will drop his self when I raise my price and stand my ground. Should be this season coming up if it isnt crazy mild

i probably tell him he should be pay more for the in convince and if he says no then just say well I'm sorry

When they try to get you to lower your price tell them that's not happening because your raising your price

I say no money no wood. You work hard to have wood for customers. If the guy isn't serious then to heck with him. He can play games with somebody else. Just my feeling about it.
@rickieryates76725 жыл бұрын
I agree, hustling firewood is far too much work to be talking chances on getting paid

Same here haha, I dont think ive ever not been paid, i do remember one time i had to annoy a guy for about a week to eventually get paid though, and a couple check bouncers that I had to hassle

@@splittinnstuff6571 I was a 12 year old paperboy in Mt Holly in 1960 and I had a customer that hadn't paid for 50 weeks straight. Paper was new to the area and would not let me drop them. I was making 5¢/week/customer so this a lot of money to me. Cost me $20 to take them to small claims court. Judge ruled immediately in my favor, would not let them leave until they paid me what they owed plus court costs and the best art was they quit the paper. Check bouncers are the worst because they cost you the money plus the cancelled check fee...small claims court is great! Try it...you'll love it!!

no money no wood if I have to go back there you're adding another $50 for my gas at least
@splittinnstuff65715 жыл бұрын
Haha I wish, this customer would probably just hang up if I said that
@mattfogarty58685 жыл бұрын
if he hangs up didn't he do you a favor? lol
@williamzoom5 жыл бұрын
People who nickel and dime you over a hundred dollar load of wood are not worth dealing with! I would sell him this load just to get rid of the wood and then never deal with him again! Maybe he will learn a lesson on how to act but probably not!
@splittinnstuff65715 жыл бұрын
Your totally right. I feel like I'm just now getting to the point where I don't NEED money so I can what makes the most sense, which sometimes is to just not do bussiness with certain people

You have to ask yourself what the stress and aggravation is worth to you!
