WEIRD = GOOD! The food was incredible, but Yamamoto's 1st game in the Major Leagues? Total disaster. The Los Angeles Dodgers' rookie gave up five runs in just one inning against the San Diego Padres at the Gocheok Sky Dome, but he'll be fine. The man won three MVP's in Japan, and I predict he'll have a long, successful MLB career.
This was Game 2 of the Seoul Series, which took place on March 21, 2024. Shohei Ohtani was in the house and nearly hit a home run, but you know who did? And who ended up with the ball?! No spoilers here in the description, haha.
One of my goals for the day was to help my friend Yeon Ho snag a Seoul Series commemorative baseball, so that added a fun layer of chaos to everything. Once again the lineups were star-sudded with MVPs and All-Stars such as Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Manny Machado, and Fernando Tatis Jr., and these two teams ended up scoring a total of 26 runs in a thrilling slugfest.
