This is super cool. I can see it out-turboing a lot of turbo decks, you just gotta do it before your opponent’s draw engine is set up. Going second does hugely impact the deck negatively unfortunately

Omg combine this with that one supporter from steller that lets you take an extra prize if active is knocked out with a Tera pokemon, could be interesting

Toss a 1-1 line of Barbaracle, could be fun to make those prize cards lost zoned
@Endymion00212 ай бұрын
also considering Lost City is the stadium of choice, what ever evolving basic you snipe or utility bench sitter, that thing gets lost zoned which can also be nasty disruption. like if you play against charizard, you go first, they on their turn play down Charmander and Pidgeys in the same number or less of your duskulls, they just lose to sableye lostzoning them all by knockout

The biggest problem with this, you say: "turn 2 hyper aroma",yet you have no item to pull hyper aroma from the deck. + you kinda done if you pull hyper aroma before squak, or carmine...

“You’re GOING to get 3 or 4 Dusklops out turn 1” Seeming to forget a few key details you can’t control at all. 1: you get unlucky and you don’t get any parts of your draw engine turn 1. 2: you get unluckier and 3 or god forbid all 4 Dusklops wind up in your prize cards. 3: you pull your Dusklops turn 1 but not the Duskull required to play it. 4: your opponent KNOWS what you’re doing and forces you to shuffle your hand into your deck, ruining your plan. The MASSIVE problem with publically sharing this info, is now everybody will plan for this exact situation and plan to avoid it, knowing it’s coming. That’s why I play decks nobody could even dream to think of or prep for. Example? The Twilight Masquerade Leafeon, a few of those and I’m basically permanently healing- and I’ve got a handful of other things to keep me alive while doing damage. Another example? Glaceon. 9 damage counters on the defending Pokemon… “but they can switch out of it” true, but at the end of the turn, they’re all right back on the new Pokemon anyway, so surprise surprise, they can’t avoid it. “They can KO the Glaceon” I hear you say… 4 Glaceon’s, good luck bro, have fun. Not to mention, again, things to keep me alive and play with damage counters. Are damage counter decks rare? No. But using common Pokémon like Glaceon is VERY rare, because the meta doesn’t use them so most players ignore them.

If you set up to beat this deck then other decks will run you over. You can’t make a deck that will stop everyone. Your deck is always going be weak to something. Best odds is to set a defense for what’s the most popular played deck and then be skilled enough to handle anything that comes your way.

With the way Lost City is worded, does the basic pokemon actually go in the Lost Zone? It say put "that" (knocked out) pokemon in the Lost zone, and discard the attached cards. The basic pokemon wasn't knocked out and it isn't an attached card, so doesn't it go to the discard pile like normal?
@cruzerion2 ай бұрын
Yes, the basic pokemon goes into the lost zone. The current stage and all previous stages count as "the pokemon" whereas energies and tool cards are counted as attached cards. Flavorwise an evolved pokemon is after all still the same pokemon as the one you first put on the bench as a basic, just in a later stage of its life (though in actual play the flavor sometimes gets really wonky)

You need Arven for searching for that Hyper Aroma instead of those Carmine. Remove to of the Pokegear 3.0

The biggest hole I see is: how do you guarantee turn 2 hyper aroma?
@Shadow019742 ай бұрын
Draw tons of cards with Squack, Carmine/Prof research, Comfey. Is it a guarantee, no, but you are drawing what, 5/7+6+1/2/3, so at most 16, at least 12, on turn 1, not mentioning the 7 at the start of the game, and the two youll draw by the time you get to turn 2
@kstanni872 ай бұрын
@@Shadow01974 Arven can find it, use a Lumineon or Tatsugiri to find a Arven supporter on turn 2 (hope he isn't in your prizes)
@Shadow019742 ай бұрын
@@kstanni87 This deck doesn't play Arven, lumineon, or tatsugiri. Those cards can be put in, but the deck list provided doesn't include them.
