Fun fact: the shiny Zigzagoon you'd get from this kiosk has the OT Ruby of you're using Ruby and Saphire if you're using Sapphire, this is because of the character name limit at the time (also I still have both of the Zigzagoons sitting in my copy of Sword)

The berry glitch happens when the internal clock passes one year. The "patch" just skips the clock ahead a year to bypass the glitch.

Yes when the rtc time reaches 1 january 2001 the glitch activates itself by setting the time to 1 january 2002 it tracks on the time correctly. The berry glitch can fix itself after a year. Berry glitch and a dead battery is not the same thing even if the circumstances are kinda similar, don‘t mix them up.

In Emerald, The battle frontier Pokémon/item duplication glitch was just so game breaking that it almost deserves a video of its own. Being able to farm hundreds of rare candies and master balls :).

Oh yeah! I remember that berry glitch. You could fix it by connecting your GBA to your GameCube with certain GameCube Pokemon games. Also I farmed so many Jirachi back in the day from that bonus disc.

Has anyone heard about a glitch that I’ll just call the “Vibrava Glitch”? In my copy of Pokemon Sapphire I have a vibrava on my team. I just beat the 6th gym and my vibrava was fine, but as soon as I head down routes 120 and 121 problems started to arise. Wild Pokémon battles do t seem to be affected which is why I was able to grind my entire team, including my vibrava up to level 40 but trainer battles are another story. Anytime that I lead my party with vibrava in a trainer battle these 4 yellow lines appear in the screen and then the game rests back to the title screen and therefore my last save. This has happened for every trainer battle on routes 120, 121 and the battle against May in Lilicove. I tested these issues by starting with another meme Berlin my party and then switching vibrava in. The battle proceeds as normal until my vibrava goes in, which then rests the game the same was as I described before. I decided to do some research into this and I found this same glitch mentioned 3 times online on the sites PokéCommunity, Pokémon Database, and GameFaqs. They all say nearly the same thing: Pokemon Sapphire, beat Fortree City gym and get 6th gym badge, head down routes 120 and 121, vibrava starts giving them issues in trainer battles. On PokéCommunity almost everyone replying is saying that the game is a bootleg, with one person saying they were experiencing the same issue. Despite this the OP said that he told the seller he got the game from of the issue, and exchanged the copy he had bought for another, brand new copy of the game to compensate for the vibrava issue, and the game worked perfectly, until the exact same problem started in the exact same route after making the exact same amount of progress with the new vibrava they have on their team. On Pokémon Database a user described the same issue, except they didn’t explicitly make mention of route 120, but instead mentioned victory road. They did however say the last battle that vibrava worked fine in was the flying type gym leader, which is the 6th gym in Fortree, that the game they are playing is Sapphire and that the issue only occurs against trainers. Another person replied to this user saying they were having the same issue as well with trainer battles. The GameFaqs post goes pretty much the same as the last one, Sapphire, vibrava crashes player in trainer battles in title screen. This person says they noticed the issue during the battles against the Elite Four, but the previous person said they only noticed it in Victory Road and had to take a look back to realize the problems started after the 6th gym, so the same could very well be possible. Two people posted answers to this original post, one saying that it was probably just a glitch with the game and not the vibrava, and the other saying they are having the exact same issue. If anyone has heard about this issue or has experienced it themselves please let me know.

I remember when I was a kid there was a trainer in the Battle Frontier who had a shiny Espeon. I remember thinking to myself if I could ever find a glitch that would allow me to steal that Pokemon I was coming back for it, but it took years and years for that glitch to be found at this point I no longer have the cartridge. Although I'm sure that encounter still exist within the game so I could probably find it on an emulated version

If you're doing a catch em all challenge, the steal trainer pokemon one would be really useful because I'm pretty sure there are trainers in the battle frontier who use latias/latios so you could get the opposite version's one without trading, then store/transfer it to an outside game and reset and beat the game again to get your version

I’m not sure if it’s a glitch but I remember there’s a spot north of the Registeel Cave by some trees where you should be able to walk on but I guess there’s an invisible wall for some reason. It’s not Kecleon by the way

Most of these I didn't know about. I used to steal Pokemon from the battle frontier in Emerald but I used a game shark for that. Usually reserved that for when I saw starters though level 100 blastoise level 50 ivysaur, pretty sure a combusken and grovyle too
