This is literally my favorite movie of all time. That being said, I gotta point out that the actors playing Wyatt’s parents look like they actually could be his parents in real life! Wyatt takes after mum, and Chet takes after Dad. Bravo John Hughes! Now that’s some spot on casting.

Kym Malin must've had quite the "Mary Poppins" experience going up through the chimney and out, like she did, Bert, Jane and Michael Banks! She was perfect for that minor role and made me laugh my head off, as a result!

This is my absolute favorite movie of all time since I first saw it as a kid in 1986 on HBO. It’s just all around fun and fantasy. That being said, it really makes me mad when the so called “critics” crap on this movie by calling it vulgar, sex-driven camp. My first thought is always did they even watch the movie? There’s literally no sex in it whatsoever. Maybe a little bit of nudity, but it’s never front and center (e.g. piano girl’s clothes being ripped off is all very vapid). But besides all that, Lisa is portrayed as a very strong, smart, talented, and well-mannered (there’s a deleted scene from the trailer of the boys skimming through Emily Post’s book of etiquette as they are feeding info into Wyatt’s computer) female character who only wants what’s best for our heroes. It’s honestly an incredibly wholesome movie at the end of the day with a great moral lesson about being true to one’s self. 5 stars!
