What’s happening in this Weird Science movie clip?
Lisa (Kelly Lebrock from The Woman in Red) is at the mall. Every man she encounters falls under her spell. Ian (Robert Downey Jr. from Iron Man and Avengers) and Max (Robert Rusler from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) are no exception. They follow her outside the mall and introduce themselves. She tells them she’s waiting for her ride. Gary (Anthony Michael Hall from The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles) arrives. Lisa gets in his car and then tells Ian and Max that Wyatt is throwing a party at his house tonight, and that they can drop by if they want.

What’s the movie Weird Science about?
Two teen nerds, Gary (Anthony Michael Hall from The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles) and Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith), use a computer program to design their ideal woman. An electrical accident brings her to life in the form of the beautiful and lovely Lisa (Kelly Lebrock from The Woman in Red). She befriends Gary and Wyatt and helps them stand up to their bullies Ian (Robert Downey Jr. from Iron Man and Avengers) and Max (Robert Rusler from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge).
However, the boys must hide Lisa’s existence from Chet (Bill Paxton from Titanic and Aliens), Wyatt’s big brother.

This scene has always been my favorite. Ian (RDJ) and Max (Robert Rusler) the two so-called "Cool, Popular" dudes following her like horndogs and then when they get outside, don't even know how to speak to her, being so awkward showing themselves to be the actual dorks that they are. Then Gary and Wyatt show up in a Porsche, she gets in the car with them and look on Ian's face, "Like how did these two losers get this hot chick". Priceless!

We're you a tally around for the 80s? Because an awful lot of stuff happened. There were gas shortages that had lines for miles to get ¼ tank. Stock market crashed hard. Housing crises. Crime was rampant. Those 80s movies showing graffiti and mugging all over... that wasn't made up. Big cities were bad. The Cold War was raging and nuclear war was on everyone's mind. Would you consider yourself to be a good person? How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust? Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that H e is perfect in justice - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning? But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us. On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. When you place your trust in Jesus - the Lord and Saviour - these things will happen: 1) God will forgive the sins that you have committed; they were paid for by Jesus at the cross. 2) The perfect life that Jesus lived will be credited to you. He will find you holy and blameless on judgement day (and now), as Christ’s righteousness covers you. 3) You receive a place in Christ’s kingdom as an adopted child of God. God becomes your Father. Eternal life isn’t just about living forever, but a personal relationship with God Himself. That life can start now; The Father will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him. 4) God doesn’t just save you from the penalty of your sin (Hell). He can save you from the power of sin itself. Whoever practices sin is a slave of sin; but when you repent and believe the gospel [WHICH HAS BEEN DESCRIBED] the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and sanctify you (working in you to further abandon sin and turn to the will of God). When the end of the age comes, and eternity begins, this work will be brought to completion as you are finally freed from the presence of sin. Jesus offers to take away your sin and to give you His righteousness; you must receive it by faith. Choose this day if you will align with the world, or with Jesus and His kingdom - only His is eternal. ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

@@michaal105 why are you posting this here? Yes, I know all about the plan of salvation and raised Southern Baptist and asked Christ into my heart numerous times. I’d like to be brutally honest with you about post-salvation life because it’s not all it’s cracked up to be and I don’t want to offend you. Which is why we have such a rise in atheism and agnosticism these days.

After rewatching this movie, it dawned on me that Gary and Wyatt probably would have been in major trouble after the credits rolled. They hacked into the network system to create Lisa and Wyatt said it himself that what they were doing was illegal. Then they told Ian and Max how they created Lisa which Ian and Max probably would have told other people and word may have spread. Not to mention that the partygoers witnessed the odd things happening around Wyatt’s house at the party unless Lisa made all of them forget (but then all of the work that she had put into making them see Gary and Wyatt in a new, ‘cooler’ light would have been in vain). I have a habit of thinking about what happens to the main characters and where the story continues after the movie ends.

@Steve White She undid the negative damage but left in the things that Wyatt and Gary did to make them look cooler. Lisa undid the damage with Gary's parents to where his mom didn't remember the encounter with her and his dad didn't remember him at all, so she likely also erased the memory of Robert Downey Jr and his friend seeing that Gary/Wyatt created Lisa with computer (since she was streetsmart enough to know how that would damage their rep if word got around about that), but she kept the part with them standing up to the bikers so they'd now be remembered by everyone there as guys who stood up (but maybe Lisa erased the memories of the ordeal from the bikers themselves so they wouldn't come back trying to get revenge on Wyatt/Gary). As for Chet, Lisa didn't erase anything from his memory, she just turned him into a monster to make him sorry for always bullying his brother

For those in the comments that shockingly didn't realize that is RDJ, and that he had a career long before Iron Man, should really check out Less Than Zero and just for the heck of it, Natural Born Killers.

Of course RDJ had been in other movies before he was iron man and an avenger, his career started in the 80's but then he got addicted to drugs and alcohol and got arrested for it a lot and his career stalled for like 15 to 20 yrs then he got sober and his act together and started his comeback with iron man movies and the avengers movies.
