For those confused from the epoxy block: The chain is directly attached to the two anchors on the block, then the extra chain is loosely chained to the metal bar as I assume this is a safety measure so if the epoxy fails/breaks the bar does not touch the showroom floor. The guys were standing on the bar but was transferred to the block as the bar is basically sitting on top.

It’s just a poor setup to prove their product’s capabilities. They simply need a bigger pieces of concrete.
@Therealphantomzero Жыл бұрын
Was just about to say this. You can see the tension on the chain proving this. Now what we need to test is how brittle it is

Those grey hooks should be painted yellow or flourescent green to show the rig off better.

But doesn't them standing put the weight on the chain not the epoxy?
@TheGanderNewfie Жыл бұрын
The first one was a demonstration on how much weight the chain could hold? The only weight on the block is from the block itself.
@weeman_com Жыл бұрын
I don't think that primer demo was well thought out. The primer bonded the hookup points to the concrete that weight was above the hookup points. The weight doesn't appear to be acting on the primer/hookups rather than above it on the trolley jack. Surely they should be adding the weight below the concrete to pull it down from the primer attached points 🤨
@ZeoCyberG Жыл бұрын
Actually, it was just set up like a bearing puller. The bar was transferring any additional load directly to the concrete. There was just two separate chains, one directly to the concrete from the hoist that is holding everything up off the floor and the second chain that was there for safety in case the bond broke and would keep the whole thing from crashing through the floor. Note the second chain remained loose the whole time, meaning there was no load on it and the bar was sitting on both ends of the concrete block. So all their weight was added to the block.

Stanley I watched the very first Stop you made like three times (Epoxy Primer). What a joke they were standing on the metal bar which in turn was hanging from the chain. Below the metal bar is where they had the the cement attached to the bar. Love the trade show videos. Really enjoy the videos with that real funny lady can't remember her name. You know she had those glow in the dark rocks that you put in cement that she threw all over the floor haha.
@ZeoCyberG Жыл бұрын
No, the chain was directly connected to the concrete block, only the secondary safety drop chain was connected to the bar that is only there to stop the block from crashing through the floor if the bond breaks. The bar was sitting on the concrete block to transfer the load and that was how they were testing the strength of the bond.

The very first clip on this recording is A Falsity, if they wanted to show how strong the bond was they would have weight on the concrete and have stood on it also... The fact that they have not shows you how much they believe in their product.... All they are doing is showing the strength of steel... Your friend from Scotland UK...
@ZeoCyberG Жыл бұрын
No, the test was valid as the only thing holding it all up was the primer bond. There was just one chain connected to the 2 bond points on the concrete that connected it to the hoist and the bar was sitting on the concrete block, transferring any additional loads to it, with just a second chain, which you can see was never under load and was slack, that was there just for safety to keep everything from crashing through the showroom floor in case the bond did fail.

1.. Is that konkrete primer the same thing as Rhino Snot you spray it on moon dust, roks, gravel and kemikally welds it all together. 2. Does the koncrete krak mender ebb up making the konkrete non porous? 3. The Lift Assist is Kewl 🤘🏻 5. You kan use Multi Seal to Make a Solid Kore Tire….. Only Down Sidw is Rolling Mass is Inkreased, Tire Weighs like 200 LBS & you Have to Kut the Tire Off Works Great! 6. I am interested to see if the konkrete dissolver will work on Barnakles on the Bottoms of Boats. 🤔

For that multi seal I just spent 365$ for a new Michelin LT265/60/20 cause I had a nail at the edge of tread which is unpatchable. 2 gas stations air compressors didn’t work and was going to Orlando so I turned back home, day & 1/2 to replace. Leery about the safety of that product, you just drive as normal and it fills continuously?

It just seems like they are sitting on the bar and the block is below it, so no weight is added to the epoxy of the block

i'm confused by all the guys standing on the bar. I thought the block(which none of them are standing on) was what had the primer, not the engine hoist.

That saves your lungs from concrete dust, which saves your life. Concrete and cement dust contains silica. If you don't know much about silica, in dust form, it's deadly. Silica dust is one of the biggest killers of construction workers, second to asbestos.
