I found it weird to begin with that poor Biscuit was just released into the water so far away from the prospective new family. Every duck rescue I've seen so far has shown that the duck has to be basically dropped in between the others so the mom won't notice it wasn't hers and reject it, with prejudice. Biscuit WAS going in at the same time the other ducklings were, but from a different angle, so I wonder if the mother would have accepted them if they had reached the family anyways. I don't watch too many channels dealing with ducks though so idk if this is normal especially with what happened 😅 The circle of life stops for no one.

@@-sakura-.What else could they have done with a wild animal? They did what was best, let biscuit go back into the wild where they belong. Biscuit! I am not emotionally okay. Poor baby deserved better. I was feeling worrying vibes from the beginning because you don't just send a duckling out into the water when you're trying to introduce a foster. Wild ducklings are usually fostered by domestic ducks because you can't just drop them off and go. And you're supposed to do it in a location you can watch to make sure the duckling is accepted.

First time I've ever questioned Emily and Ed's judgement and if they actually cared about animals. Might unsub.

@@Morna777 you do know they aren't duck rescues right? Someone else (too lazy to watch back and see who it was)told them what would be good for the duckling. And if you don't know any better than that seems like a good option.

A produce/garden exhibit could look really cool if you have a type of reptile, or group of critters that might live in that kind of environment. It would take a bit of thinking with visibility, but you would have bonus veg to go with the cool enclosure.

Agreed. I don't want to be a stick in the mud but the the let down after being told he/she was ok was jarring. I understand nature is as it does but the bait and switch is unusual for them. Would have preferred not to have seen it.

He's right about the holes. Extend his example to a network of holes, such as a meerkat burrow. If you considered the original two holed network as one long hole, the entire burrow would still all count as one hole. Something like a golf hole would be a single hole, because it is a closed network. It has only one entrance, which doubles as its own exit. Since you can enter from one location, and exit without passing through your original entrance, the long tube has two holes.
@MrNaesme Жыл бұрын
Ah, but the actual definition of a hole is "a hallow point in a surface" or "an opening in or through a surface". By either definition, both a tube and a network would be a singular hole regardless of the complexity or the number of openings. Granted, you can then counter with topology where the answer is "what is a hole?"
@SuDaixi Жыл бұрын
@@MrNaesme Every window and a door in a house is a hole in those surfaces but you wouldn't say they are a single hole even though they connect to the same space.
@chellesama8256 Жыл бұрын
No holes. The straw is the hollow plastic tube. The ends are not holes, there is no inside to the straw, the plastic only is the straw. If it had a hole, it'd be in the side and you wouldn't be able to get proper suction.

I’m with Ed on the straws. A shirt is one piece of clothing, all attached, but you wouldn’t call the sleeves, head hole, and bottom all one hole.

That's cos there's more than one hole in a shirt
@zolfirthedragon2 жыл бұрын
Imagine a straw made of clay. Then stand it upright, with the hollow part vertical. Then squish it flat, without closing the hole. What remains is a disc with one hole, topologically the same as the straw.
@kasaokc2 жыл бұрын
If you can plug one hole and you can still put something in or take something out the other end, it's because there are 2 holes.
@smievil2 жыл бұрын
or if you poke a hole in a straw, how many holes would it have? 1, 2 or 3
@BeatrizRodrigues-bj1de2 жыл бұрын
Okay, so how many holes a sleeve have? One or two? Isn't the sleeve one hole that o tuck your arm and another hole for the other arm and one for the neck. With that logic a straw is like a sleeve one long hole.
