I play bass for a folk singer songwriter Francine McClure and in 2023 we recorded a EP, guess what it was recorded in analog and cd's and vinyl were pressed. There are still artist that record in analog and yes as one of your viewers said alot of EP'S from the 60's and 70's were recorded in analog but digitally remastered and is true on taking away the recording quality. 😎👍

I'm just biased about CD. That's why I'm curious to hear my TOOL record, to hear how that's going to sound on the turntable. I've only ever heard it on CD many, many times! I should hear a difference!

The records vs cd. Going to get technical, older records was recorded on analog, you get the whole sound from a note vs a digital that you get the avg sound you get on cds. The semi dead Cd format that never took off mostly due to price, sacd (super audio cd) then you have High Fidelity Pure Audio both blows away cds sound. I like high fidelity, i love 5.1 disc (bon jovi slippery when wet) Back to records, modern records mostly are recorded in digital format, so when you play modern record is like a cd with hiss.. it lost its analog sound! If you love jaz, old blues, classical analog is the best way to listen to them.

I'm just biased about CDs. The hissing is one thing, although, it doesn't bother me when I record something on a cassette. I guess it's because I expect to hear it on that. I keep saying my two first Suzanne Vega CDs are the highest quality audio I've ever heard. With High Definition Remastering at 96KHz / 24-BIT! The first time I played them, brought tears to my eyes, it sounded so gooo!

@@bunkeyscow So much modern age stuff in general I need to get into. Second hand thrift stores like Value Village, that's where I rarely find them, but the ones I have came from a friend.
