As indonesian, when I saw keris and what it was used other than its spirituality purpose I'm convinced that my ancestor are brutal. Like why y'all made a stab weapon that causing enough hole damage on flesh and decided to make the blade curved so its could mess enough guts when you drawn it out like c'mon.

The northern tribes Philippines mhytogoy saying that bathala (means the creator) that there's a birdman guardians with swords of fire has soul so they copy the swords of birds heads with tail and claws then the wavy is fire like has soul in it.....and called fire soul sword......it has a pilipino movie but has little different touch with it......

a kriss blade with all its complete component must had started by a civilization then spreaded out..couldnt be different civilization different place made the same thing including ITS DETAILS(gonjo, grenengan, kembang kacang etc) at the same time....terms etymology also could help a bit for that matter..if it just a curvy blade anyone just could happend made the same thing at the same time around the world....even katana shape is actually pretty basic...thats why japanese cant submit its originality to UNESCO....if it s only about different scabbard or handle..okay...still we have to appreciate people creation...or anybody in the world just can make their own style for anything without mentioning it root/inspiration then called it their own or completely created by themself, emerged from themself without outside influence..
