Baloo might have preached the importance of the simple things in life, but the folks at Disney Interactive were certainly thinking beyond "necessity" when they came up with the concept of a Jungle-Book-specific dance mat game. This is certainly one of the weirder titles in our library.

When I worked in the Toys R Us Electronics dept in the back room was a giant promo sticker for this game stuck to the floor. It was there for like 10 years and couldn't be removed. This is the only other time I've seen any word spoken of this game

I had the ps1 version of this. Me and my brother played it all the time. Also I'm pretty sure all the songs are sung by Jim Cummings. I say that I've written this after the elephant song so I mean 2 of them.

I wonder if the arrows lined up with the rhythm more accurately back in the day when everyone was using CRTs, since flat-panels can introduce visual lag. The Guitar Hero games had a setting that would let you compensate for the delay but this might not have had the option.

This is true, and rhythm games also tend to be slightly off-sync when they're being emulated.

I'm not a fan of the Disney adaptations compared to Rudyard Kipling's original books, given how little they resemble the source material, but this game certainly seems like good dumb fun. It was very entertaining to watch you try to navigate your way through the games terrible rhythm 😂

I’ve suddenly realised why Worst Games hasn’t been hitting the spot for me recently - back in the early days they used to do stuff like this all the time. Disney Sing It was a personal favourite, as was Catwoman (“the controls do nothing!”) and Get Fit with Mel B. Now it feels like they do it out of obligation. They play a game they don’t enjoy for half an hour, run through the facts and figures as quickly as they can, and get out. In the early days I used to feel like they were at least having fun with it. Weirdest Games I think lets them enjoy themselves a little bit more.
