Regarding that Aegis "bug(?)", I saw this happen too in a Jenkins video. In short, the timer for the Aegis "decay" starts when it is picked up. I'm not quite sure what happens to it if left on the ground, however.

I think the left and right click could be a remnant of LoL. I know I did that a lot when I started playing DoTa. LoL has no turn rate, so it was just a fun thing to do in lane when bored. Edit: The healthbar thing is that it takes 2 hits for ranged heroes to kill. 6 is some arbitrary number for their hp lol.

melee has to hit a courier once, ranged has to hit it twice. i think that's why it has 2 pips

Daf walking back and forth is another league habit. Due the the lack of ANY turn-speed in league, characters can turn on a dime. This makes clicking back and forth a useful way to throw off enemy's aiming skills at you, most players do this habitually due to this. *edit grammar

The marks on the courier mean 2 hits for ranged and one hit for melee. That's the difference.
