What? That's not it. The joke is people in the hood have children at a young age. Larry Fishburne's character looked like he was in his mid-30's at least. Cuba's character looked around early 20's, even though he was portraying a 17 year old. It's like that in any movie where an actor in his 20's plays a high school student. You could still believe Furious was Trey's father while watching the movie.

I've seen this movie probably 50 times. My HS buddies and I threw this on whenever we weren't out finding trouble and couldn't find anything to watch.
