FUN FACT: when Marty and Alex are singing the Theme from New York, New York towards the beginning of the film. There is a bird house that’s lights turn on and the bird yells at them to “SHUT UP SHUT UP, we’re not all nocturnal you know!?”. The bird is voiced by the late and great Bob Saget a good and close friend of Chris rock. Bob knew Chris through stand up comedy. Many know Saget from Full House however he was originally and was a very blue/ dirty yet funny comedian. RIP BOB

My gosh that song drove my parents crazy when it first came out (early to mid-90s) and 4-year-old me was singing the mess out of it. The use of this song for this movie in 2005, had to have been payback directed at early teenage me. 😂

In reality, king Julian would be a queen Julian as that specific species of lemur is a female dominant clan, Maurice is an eye-eye which a freaky looking lemur that has a super long finger uses to find hollows in trees, theres lore that if they look at tou in the face you will be cursed, and little mort is the smallest of the lemurs known as a mouse lemur and full grown they reach 23-29cm!!

I had this game on PlayStation as a kid and I have insanely vivid memories of loving that thing. There was a mini golfing game on that Madagascar game that was the absolute best thing to ever happen to video games with my little brother and I played it maybe twice a day every day for months.

You mentioned movie suggestions and I have a few: The Tarantino directed movie Jackie Brown was based on an Elmore Leonard novel, several of which have been made into movies you'd probably really enjoy: *Out of Sight,* with George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames, Don Cheadle; *Get Shorty,* with John Travolta, Gene Hackman, Rene Russo, Delroy Lindo; and (the sort) of sequel to Get Shorty is *Be Cool,* with John Travolta again, and Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, Dwayne Johnson. Actually, all of them are loaded with actors you know. There are probably over a dozen more movies based on Elmore Leonard books, but these are good ones to start with. ✌🏽🤘🏽🖖🏽

Perhaps you could try Disney's "Bolt" (2008) on for size, one of the few underrated movies they've made, as folks say. It has THE, John Travolta as the main character. Or perhaps their 2-movie spinoff to Cars, "Planes" and "Planes: Fire & Rescue" (both in that order).

I always Pity Alex he didn't know how to hunt for his food, he's not use of the wild. Just to please his zebra friend, Marty to agree for the wild life. Marty doesn't know the consequences, his motivation for Alex doesn't work. Moral of the story; plan well for everything! I enjoy this film, but most enjoy the 2nd one. and the penguins film also really funny!
