Three things we learned from this video- 1. Never trash 30 Rock and Studio 8H, incite a riot to the point that the NYPD gets involved or in the case of Cypress Hill light a marijuana joint on national television unless you're looking to get banned from SNL. 2. Never anger Dick Ebersol, Lorne Michaels, Brandon Tartikoff or NBC. 3. Never allow John Belushi or anyone else to bring in whoever they want in exchange for a cameo.

I cannot believe I'm going to say "in the defense of one of these schmucks", but in defense of Mary Lassier, damn near everyone behind the scenes on SNL's first season was on something. What do I think? I think Weird History should also look at musical guests who were banned from SNL (other than musical guests who became hosts such as Frank Zappa did.) The first person who comes to my mind to be on the "banned musical guests" list is Sinead O'Connor, who was banned in the early 1990s after she ripped apart a photo of Pope John Paul II during her performance prompting an onslaught of angry phone calls and other forms of complaints from the public.
