I’ve never heard of hush puppies ( we actually used to have slippers by that name in Australia, haha) they look like the quick donuts I’ve made for my grandsons when they were school age! But you didn’t mention the ingredients? Just self raising flour & cornmeal , but what else , milk? I wouldn’t put the onions 🤪 Also your fish looked tremendous I will have to try that instead of making a batter which is so messy! And your chips looked delicious too 😋

Use 1/2 cup cornmeal, and 1/2 half self-rising flour. About 1/2 cup milk, a teaspoon of sugar, 1 egg. Mix together and drop by spoon full into hot grease to fry.

Linda can I ask where you get your catfish? That is the prettiest catfish there's no dark skin on it which I can't stand I was just wondering if you have a fishmonger close to where you live. That looks absolutely delicious!!

Oh ok. I knew I never seen it at Walmart. I'll go to HEB. It looks so dang good! You know my family always had to have gravy with fish. It's delicious!!

I think I'd say that and take my $20 needed a restaurant a lot of food left over especially if you can get two meals out of one plate

I only fried $10. Worth of fish, 2 small potatoes,$1., 1/4 of a cabbage about 50 cents, hushpuppies, about$1. And I got 4 meals out of what I cooked, cost about for a cost of about $13. For 4 catfish meals J would say that was pretty good
