Subscribed! Putting in good work Flux. Please ask your friends at ASM to make a modern ASR-10 sampler/sequencer with their poly-AT keybed. It's what the game's missing right now.

Ken, I have been a flux head for a minute...I subbed years ago under my soundvapor account. Thanks for your in depth videos! You were shouted out by Glen Darcy, formerly a top brain at Arturia and I was very pleased to hear about the polished design team behind this synth, Glen being the head of ASM Product line. You are making a serious impact bro, (Threeler) filter 😳 suggestions considered in unit. ...big time!!!! Definitely the Hydra seems to be deep and endless....oh does the keyboard have all the features of the desktop? If not, which ones are excluded?
@Fluxwithit4 жыл бұрын
thanks so much! the whole team has been wonderful! and they actually listen! the only things different between the two are the physical inputs meaning obviously the desktop lacks keys, and a ribbon, it also lacks a few of the dedicated arp knobs (you get to em through the macro knob area). the keyboard just doesn't have the pads (as they aren't needed considering you have keys).
@bustincircuits77014 жыл бұрын
@@Fluxwithit Thanks....I will assume the scaling mode chromatic, Dorian etc. I saw on the desktop exists in some format on the keyboard? Thinking about zoning and splits.
@Fluxwithit4 жыл бұрын
Bustin Circuits all the scales are available in the keyboard as well. Not splits or zones. The scale goes across the whole keybed

Trying to decide between Hydrasynth and Modal Argon8. Love the ribbon controller and mutants.

The Argon 8 is great but the Hydrasynth is much deeper. You can do a lot more with it.

Great demo. Why is it that this demo sounds rich and warm but other demos aound colder? Are you using wizardry

Hey, have been watching your videos, and have my hydrasynth preordered and paid for. See you do the beat ppl podcasts and stuff, and are a hip hop fan I believe, so can I ask you how you think the hydra is suited for hip Hop? I do a lot of trap, and melodic stuff. Use a lot of bells and poly leads type sounds. Have a TI I’ve been using, but am wondering how this would do? Any thoughts you could give would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
@Fluxwithit4 жыл бұрын
David Steffens yes, for trap, the bass and the plucks will be really useful. As will the arp functions and the nice reverb.

Ken Flux Pierce Fluxwithit what are comparative thoughts of competition... the Roland Jupiter Xm ?
@Fluxwithit4 жыл бұрын
John Richardson I don’t see the two as competition at all... the Jupiter series appears to be the xv/integra engine once again put into a different synth format . Which while cool is not really doing synthesis on a deep level of 5 envelopes 5 lfos waveshaping etc all freely assignable. To me I see the Jupiter stuff as nice cpu friendly gig gear. Which is cool, just not competition...

My Korg R3 has a lot of these specs...
@Fluxwithit4 жыл бұрын
John Richardson if you wanna play that game I could name a dozen or so wavetable synths... all sharing a lot of specs of each other. In no way making them equivalent to each other...
@johnrichardson32974 жыл бұрын
@20:00 minutes.. I stand corrected. But I find osc 2 on both timbers tend to fatten my PCM(WSDG) the rest is a workaround via Amp sections or other descending/ascending orders
