7:06 That's exactly how they operate. I was there pre mainnet for months. Bram and Gene would say a ton of shit that just didn't pan out. Then you call them out on it and you get a hoard of bag holders, financial masochists and shills being paid by the prefarm dump asking you to find a timestamp on a video that has been scrubbed. Or a keybase screenshot from several years ago. I too remember hearing they wouldn't touch the prefarm for a "long, loooooooooong time". Bram himself said it would "instantly kill the coin". Tried pointing this out on reddit (the gaping shithole of the internet) and was called a liar. Gene said something like "We need the prefarm in order to get institutions to trust us, because we need a significant amount of Chia on our books, blah blah blah, essentially it would somehow protect us from being labeled a security and it's main purpose was to simply sit in cold wallets for what they framed to sound like decades. I've tried finding the timestamps, but I can't stand to watch another second of Gene's hotdog pink face because it makes me want to turn off my monitor with a hammer.

They explicitly said their plan wasn't to sell any before they went public. Then their plans changed. The white paper contained provisions for that change. Maybe the provisions weren't followed correctly? I don't know. You could certainly complain about that. But if that's your only issue, would you still be mad about prefarm being sold if they HAD followed their own provisions correctly? Is this really about the prefarm (notice that sales aren't currently driving the price down, which is so weird since you all think prefarm sales were the ONLY factor in driving price down) or is it about you all having trembling paper hands?

As a testnet participate and day 1 mainnet farmer I currently don't have faith in the project anymore. After 3 years of solo/pool farming I sold off all my coins wiped my drives uninstalled the client and deleted the 100gb+ db file. Good luck Chia

The Chia project should be humbling to the brains, Bram. It is proven that no tech is "sound". As if one person can outsmart the greater population. GPUs has changed Chia for the worse. I think this tell us that no matter what Bram comes up with, people will find a way to circumvent or create something better or efficient or faster. Exploits will be found. All the promises of Chia were great in the start but then sure enough, smarter people looked at it and frankly? Outdid Bram. He has been bettered. His vision has been soiled. I'm sure they can try another fix to make it green again but who thinks that will hold steady and forever? If Chia matters then for sure people will seek out shortcuts, exploits or just better ways of doing it. Humbled. That's the Chia story.
