Hi Adam! I came over from Girl in the Woods. You met her and she filmed you on her channel under "Alaska Mailbox Surprise ~ VLOG 12, Part II" July 6, 2019. I know, I'm late in the game but hey, old is good. Wonderful pictures you get with that camera that flies in the air! Wow.

Don’t sweat those TSA notices. They can “randomly” select baggage to open and inspect once it is in the US. It happens all the time. They are just required to place that notice that your item was inspected. Great videos. Keep it up!

Hi Adam, I am just about to fly to Tokyo and buy myself a Surly (probably Troll or Karate Monkey) and then ride from tokyo southwards. For the last couple of month i was backpacking SE asia. I want to change the style of travelling and i think bikepacking is just the right thing to me. I would like to ask you if you have any advises for me (i have the gear already together) correlated to bikepacking in japan. Any routes recommendations? Thank you so much in advance.
@AdamHugill5 жыл бұрын
That sounds brilliant. I’ve not been to this area but Hokkaido is supposed to be the best area in Japan for bikepacking style travel. This website is a great resource: hokkaidowilds.org/cycle From what I saw in the south of Japan, it will be hard work to find unpaved routes but I could be wrong.

I am confused a bit' though say it is the first day or beginning, the video gives footage that traveled 13068 km and day 329. I am enjoying your videos and learning from them. I liked your style of speaking and adding humor to it.

Cool videos - I'm surprised you haven't got more subscribers etc. because your filming is good. I'll be watching the rest for sure. Genuine question though, I've seen a few of these across seas cycling videos and always wonder why you ship the bike from elsewhere. Is it not easier to purchase the bike in the first place you land?
@AdamHugill Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Flying with a bike isn’t too expensive. On my flight from Japan to the USA, it wasn’t any extra fee to fly with a bike. It was included in my luggage allowance. It also means you get to ride in a bike that you’re already comfortable on.
@Jack-pt2it Жыл бұрын
@@AdamHugill ah that makes sense. I've watched the rest of the US videos, they were very inspiring, giving me the urge to do something similar.

"In a country seen as so divided" I never understood that, do people think we ask how someone voted right away or something? If someone has wacky political views, so long as we don't talk about politics and I'm not following them on Facebook it doesn't matter to me.
