My favorite location is the Siofra River area. such great views, a lovely night sky (even if it's false), and I've always liked underground forests. plus, the purple hue of Nokron is quite nice. Favorite Caelid enemy is perhaps Redmane Knights. they look cool and have some neat abilities, and they aren't a total pain like the murder birds

Plateau Altus probably minus the area with death-cursing creatures near Mirage Tower Monsters in Caelid are scaring me shitless despite the fact that they actually is not so dangerous, it's just a design Basically I feel relieve when see standart undeads/knights here, not a giant dogs and crows (...and I thought it will never get worse than Micolash's chimaeras in Bloodborne lol)

I haven't even taken the time to properly explore that place every time I've had to ride through it. The very first time I rode through it I was doing a lot of swearing and saying "nope. not interested." and occasionally getting pinged by some spell or something despite weaving around. Also, a lot of "oh, of course they can be invisible, because why the hell not."

When I went from Limgrave to Caelid, I fell in love with this game. Caelid is absolutely engorged with visual storytelling, and the enemies are legit nightmare fuel at that stage. I did a lot of my early leveling there and it made Liurnia too easy but I don't regret it, Caelid is fun and hard in a good way.

My wife stumbled into Caelid via the trapped chest at like level 5. We spent countless hours are the Farm right before Radahns fort passively farming runes. I stumbled into the portal that takes you to dragons barrow and farmed those tiny dudes for ages. God I love Caelid for the early game farm potential.

I love cailid for all my friends early journeys. If you get the grace by the impassable bridge, go towards the dogs and get them to aggro. The soldiers will fight the dogs. All you do is run back to where the grace is and chill behind the building while the area goes to war with itself. Free early runes. You can literally horse it here from the very start right after getting that horse.

Oh man, this is great. It's all so true. For the record, Caelid actually is my favourite area in Elden Ring, specifically *because* every second you're there is basically just the "I'm in danger!" meme. It's funny wandering in there for the first time and finding out that literally EVERYTHING that lives in Caelid wants to murder you, the player, specifically, and it wants to do it RIGHT NOW. Also, Caelid might be brutal, but at least it has the manners not to force you to run blind through a fucking blizzard while you're fleeing for your life in terror. I STILL want to know what's spawning the ghost Dragonkin Soldiers in Consecrated Snowfield so I can go kill it for revenge.

Same. Level one wretch. Butt naked, just a club. I tried to kill the miners...I wasn't doing too bad there. Until I angered the fricking pest on the roof that I didn't see and it stabbed me in the butt with its glaive. I tried to run, queue pest threads up my butthole. I died. It took me three tries to escape that tunnel...then I couldn't teleport, so I rested at the grace. Little did I know I had been whisked away to the AIDS kingdom...

Yep. I got killed in that cave, because I was frantically running around trying to find the site of grace and I got killed by that centipede-looking thing up on the platform. I think I hit one miner, saw just how little damage I did at that level, and was in a hurry to leave. I ended up looking up where the site of grace was and I still nearly died thanks to arrows. I peeked outside after I lit the site, saw a massive thing starting to spew poison, and noped right away from there.

I still remember the moment I got tp-ed to Caelid inside the mine ... As a newbie, seeing Grace got blocked until I reach one, severely underleveld and get killed dozen times by the Pests ... I feel desperate for the 1st time. I managed to make it out, only to be greeted by the ominous OST of Caelid, sent chill down my spine. I panic run thru sellia and snatch the Golden Seed, then realized I can tp and peace out It still one of the most authentic feeling and I will always remember it

What's funny is how the road going around the swamp has its grace points set up exactly like some of the lakeside camping grounds here in Texas so that you can get a circular view of the landscape! Since people hated poison swamps so much Miyazaki presented it more like a hellish vacation spot than something that you have to cross and slog through.

I had my first run-in with Caelid via the transporting chest in the ruins in the lake, which I imagine is how many people first found Caelid. I managed to find the site of grace to get back to Limgrave, but I decided to take a peek outside first. I walked out, ventured slightly to my right, encountered one of those giant whatever-they're-calleds that spews out poison, and immediately noped out of there. I've gone back to Caelid since, but it was more of an explore to just find sites of grace so I would have an easier time exploring the area later. I just rode past everything while frantically looking for golden glows, lol. I did go and kill Greyroll, which I still feel bad about, but I ventured into that tower near where she was and got killed by some sort of poison bat thing. I figured it was karma for killing a defenseless dragon. Yeah, I know she was dying from scarlet rot and I put her out of her misery, but it still felt so dirty. Better to kill her directly than to kill her babies in front of her. That and one of the babies killed me in one hit when I did try to fight them properly before deciding to do it the cheap way.

As I’m sure many were, I was very low level when I was transported to Caelid the first time. I remember having a moment at a site of grace, after sneaking past the sleeping dragon, when I looked around at the burning sky and the silhouette of Redmane Castle, and thought: “This is a nightmare. This game is sometimes beautiful, sometimes like a vision of Hell, and what do you know, here I am wandering-terrified-through Hell.”

When you’re new to souls like game, only 12 hours into the game at lvl 26. Thinks to yourself things couldn’t get any worse since you’ve died like over 3-4 dozen times already probably more. Ran from a dragon in the swamp, bats, rats. Then finds a chest that teleports you to Caelid. Like, who designed that place and why did it have to exist?

I pretty much started my game here, in my first couple hours of playing I ran around naked running from my life and opened a chest that took me there. I didn't know about the horse or teleporting and found a spot where I could punch a dog and he would attack the soldiers and I kept levelling up that way for hours until I finally ran back to the church I started at
